"Fucking drive faster Prince!" I raged, my mind spinning as I held on tightly to the seat as well as the handle above the door.
Prince's knuckles were turning white against the steering wheel, his face holding a mixed expression of panic, fear, and anger.
"Bellamy, I'm going well above 120 in a 60, calm the down before I crash this bitch." He gritted, a vein bulging from the side of his face.
My eyes burned with tears as I sat back. My eyes were barely open when I received his call. My stomach turning into knots as nothing but a subtle groan and the sound of him trying to call my name broke through.
Not him. Not my Angel. Please don't take him from me.
I need him.
Thank God Prince decided to stay the night or else I would've had to wake up Harley. We didn't waste another second before running out the house, the rain felt heavy on my shoulders, like it was trying to weigh me down.
As we got closer to his location I tore off my seatbelt, not waiting for the car to stop before jumping out when we were only several feet away.
Bellam- Fuck!" I heard Prince shout behind me as the car skidded to a stop. My feet splashed through puddles, hair plastered to my face.
"Kayson!" I shouted from the top of my lungs. It burned, it hurt.
There was no answer.
Just thunder. Just rain.
Prince caught up behind me, as I turned into the alley, "Bellamy, wait-"
I didn't. I couldn't. I wouldn't.
Then I stopped.
The glitching light post illuminating something the dark.
He followed my gaze.
I ran towards it, my legs giving out the second I saw it.
Kayson's phone. Smashed. Glitching. Face down in a small pool of rainwater mixed with blood.
There was so much blood.
I dropped to my knees. The cold didn't matter. The rain didn't matter.
Nothing in that moment mattered.
My heart shattered into a million pieces.
Prince said something behind me, but it was just noise. Noise in the distance.
I looked around frantically for anything, any indication that he's at least still alive.
Then I saw it.
But in that moment I wished it wasn't that.
Something small. Gleaming faintly in the flickering light.
