Our story

Dedicated to my college boy and dear friend.

I knew you were leaving, I knew it right away,
But my thoughts denied, my mind used to pray.

I wouldn't wake up to 'Good mornings' anymore,
The smiles I used to carry, the reasons I wore,
Were stuck in the tears I cried,
They left a stain on my cheeks, before they dried.

I was never good in letting go,
And now I fear of drowning in woe,
But I let you pass, because you needed to,
I hope you'll find yourself and get a different view.

You took with you some lifetime of mine,
You gave me some of yours, I wish it would've been more,
You gave me new ideas, new thoughts, a sign,
But my soul feels a little sore.

Everyday I'll think of you,
Back, when it was just us two.

I just wanted to say, that if you like the poems I write, it would be awesome if you would vote, since I spend quite some time on writing these poems. I know, I do this because I like it, but a little approval never hurt nobody ;) (And as you can see, I am not feeling too peachy...)
