_______________________________________Broken truce
I didn't need to say something,
You knew my words, read my lips,
My heart was swiftly thumping,
Pounding steadily against my ribs. That was past, not meant to last.
Now I skip over rocks and stones,
Crossing dangerous war zones,
To get as far as I can get,
Running from your promising threat.I'd leave everything behind,
Just to get away from you,
We seem somewhat undefined,
But in reality it was never us two. Here we are lying on the couch, side by side,
My mask seems calm, but my mind is fleeing,
Aching for a final freeing,
You don't notice, your mind is occupied. So I make up an excuse,
I intend to break the truce,
And hoist the white flag,
To give us hope, in a time full of black.
