_______________________________________You and I
I know who you are,
And still I don't,
Sometimes you are near, sometimes far,
And sometimes you seem cloned.I can't follow your thoughts,
But know exactly where you are,
Many times I sensed the frauds,
Sometimes near, sometimes far.I've been on a journey to find you,
Traveling places without a clue,
Sometimes I got reminded by the scar
Sometimes you're near, sometimes you're far.And I wondered where to look,
To find the memories that you took,
So I fled to music and grabbed my guitar,
Sometimes you were near, sometimes you were far.Sometimes it seemed like you got lost completely,
And another time I sensed you extremely,
Like when I drove down the empty streets in the car,
I knew you were near, you didn't seem far.I stopped too soon, was tired of searching,
My thoughts and my sanity were lurching,
I looked into the dark, trying to find a certain star,
We weren't near, and seemed so far.I came back rather frustrated,
But also quite sophisticated,
To the place where I had started,
And once our ways had parted. It wasn't until I accidentally looked into the mirror,
Staring at my reflection, seconds passed it just got queerer,
And I began to wonder why I traveled so far,
Because I finally found out, who you really are.
