Chapter 32: A Fun in the Amusement Park

On our second day, we decided to go to an amusement park. There's an amusement park near here. Rage was pretty excited about it, so am I.

I'm currently wearing the dress that I bought yesterday, ganun din naman sila Thunder. Dalawa kami ni Rage sa likod ng sasakyan. He was humming some random song while looking out the window, occasionally bouncing from excitement. Walang tao ang passenger.

I refused to sit beside him. Hindi ko pa keri.

Being near Thunder is just too much, especially sa mga naiisip ko these past few days.

"We're here! Mommy, we're here!" sigaw ni Rage habang halos hindi na mapakali sa likod ng sasakyan. His eyes sparkled like a kid seeing this amusement for the first time. In a way, parang ganon nga siya. Rage may look mature for his age, pero ngayon, he looked every bit like the little boy I raised, excited, giddy, full of light.

At dahil sa excitement niya ay hindi na siya naghintay na buksan ni Thunder ang sasakyan dahil mas nauna pa itong bumaba kaysa sa ama. Halos takbuhin na nga niya ang entrance eh. Baka nga dumiretso pa siya papasok kung walang entrance.

It's very obvious that he is excited.

Thunder opened the car door for me, and for a second, our hands brushed. I gave him a short nod, refusing to let that fleeting spark linger. This trip was for Rage, and nothing more.

This is not about us.

Hindi ako pumayag sa trip na ito para magpakatanga. I have no intentions of getting back with him just because we're playing “happy family” for a few days. This is what Rage asked for. Nothing more. I don’t need any more emotional chaos in my life. I’m content as I am.

Nauna na si Rage sa paglalakad. "Come here na, mommy! Daddy! You're too slow! We're gonna miss the roller coaster!" sigaw nito. May ibang tao pa na napalingon sa kaniya.

The place was alive with color and laughter. Balloons floated above, the scent of popcorn and cotton candy hung in the air, and the sounds of mechanical rides clinked and roared in the distance. Rage pulled us both in different directions. Na try namin ang carousel, bump cars, haunted house.

He wanted to ride the big rollercoaster pero bawal pa siya dun, at hindi rin pasado ang height niya dahil may height requirements. Pero nakasakay din naman siya sa isang pambatang rollercoaster but he was just not happy with it dahil mas gusto niya daw yung malaki "cause it looks fun and better" daw.

Kaya nag suggest nalang ulit si Rage ng ibang rides. Thunder surprisingly didn't hesitate. He rode everything Rage wanted, even the spinning teacups that nearly made him throw up. I couldn't help but laugh at his pale face afterward.

I almost forgot na hindi niya gusto yung mga paikot-ikot dahil nasusuka siya dun. Crazy he's a boss of a crazy organization.

Nawala ang ngiti ko nang maalala kong Thunder doesn't have a normal life. He's a mafia boss. And my life was a misery because of it.

Nang matapos silang dalawa doon ay lumapit naman sa akin si Rage na nakanguso.

"What's wrong?" tanong ko.

"I really wanna ride the big rollercoaster, mommy. I tried convincing daddy, but he seems to be afraid of you too!" nainis pa siya. "But! I have an excellent idea. You both go ride!" dagdag niya, halos nagmamakaawa pa.

At yun nga. Sumakay kaming dalawa. Si Rage ay naghihintay lang sa children area. Just beside the rollercoaster.

The ride was insane.
