Chapter 25: The Encounter

Today's Thursday, supposedly naka-uwi na si daddy ngayon but sad to say that he still have to stay in the hospital for few days.

Sumasakit na ang ulo ko kakaisip kung ano ang gagawin. Manang told me na uuwi siya sa probinsya dahil kasal ng anak niya mamaya, so kahapon pa lang ay umuwi na siya.

Wala akong mapag-iwanan kay Rage. He doesn't want to be left at home also kaya sinama ko nalang siya. I know he's a genius kaya hindi ako nababahala but still I'm also worried baka hindi ko siya matuonan ng buong pansin while at work dahil sobrang hectic ng schedule ko.

"Don't worry, mommy. I'll be fine." he told me when I fastened his seatbelt. I just smiled at him. "I know, baby." I told him at agad na paandarin ang sasakyan.

We're almost late and the traffic is getting on my nerves. Parang hindi kami umuusad for whoever's sake is it. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako, nawawalan na ng pag-asa.

I glanced at my son, he's just playing with his tablet that I bought at his 4th birthday. "You okay, mommy?" I just smiled and nodded at him.

We are already 21 minutes late nang makarating ako sa office kung saan kami magme-meeting. I saw my secretary pacing back and forth at kinakagat-kagat pa ang kaniyang daliri.

"Ma'am!" she shouted when she saw me. Agad na dumapo ang mata niya sa batang nakakapit sa akin, she looked stunned and confused.

"He's my son." tahimik na tumango lang siya at tila ba nagtataka but I am already late to give a damn about what she's thinking.

I entered the conference room with Rage holding my hand. "Who is she again?! Why the hell she's not yet here?! She's wasting my ti-" I was caught of guard once I entered the room.

Agad akong yumuko para humingi ng tawad. "You! What the hell are you thinking? What took you so long?! How irresponsible of you!" nakuyom ko ang aking kamao.

Nanginginig ako sa takot. Damn! Out of all human here bakit si Thunder pa?! I'm with Rage right now. This can't be happening.

"Shut up, Mr! Don't you dare shout at my mother! If you call her irresponsible then I guess you don't have a respect! We were stuck at the traffic, you can't just blame her and tell her she's irresponsible!" natutop ako sa aking kinatatayuan nang magsalita si Rage.

Fuck. I didn't expect this coming.

"Wh-what?" I looked up to face him, he was staring at Rage na may pagkabigla sa kaniyang mga mata.

Damn. Why didn't I read the document for those who will attend this meeting? I'm so done.

Napunta ang tingin niya sa'kin. His mouth parted in shock. "A-amora?"

"I'm sorry for being late. I was stuck in the traffic. If you may excuse us, you may now start the meeting."

And with that the meeting started.

It was a very uncomfortable experience. Thunder keep on looking at us; particularly at Rage. Rage on the other hand is throwing him dagger with his stares. Hindi ako makapag-focus sa meeting.

"List down everything please." I told my secretary. Wala akong mas'yadong naiintindihan dahil sa nerbyos. Nahalata niya kaya? I hope wala.

"Mommy." Rage whispered.

Napatingin naman ako sa kaniya. I bow down a little to hear him. "I'm hungry. How long will this last?" napanguso pa ito.

Damn.

Nagutom siguro siya sa byahe. Kaunti lang rin kasi ang kinain niyang breakfast kanina dahil excited na excited ito na sumama sa'kin.

"What do you want to eat? Hmm?" paglalambing ko sa kaniya. He smiled widely kaya napangiti rin ako. My Rage is so cute. "I want cheesecake po." I gave him a small nod before looking for my secretary.
