Title from Jai Waetford, 'Get To Know You', purely based on it being stuck in my head while writing this chapter. Vote and comment please.

"H-Hi.." I gave him a small smile, standing up from my chair, holding my hand out for him to shake.

"Hey, Alexis right?" Daniel smiled, taking my hand in his.

God, his hands are so soft. Weird Alexis, don't think about his hands.

"Yeah, Daniel right?..Obviously, sorry. Nervous..." I gave a small, nervous, laugh.

Daniel let out a small laugh before putting both his hands in his (tight) pockets. "You don't need to be nervous. I should be right? I mean, you're the one whose gonna be telling me what to do for the rest of my life." He smirked.

I laughed gently, sitting back down. "Something like that..." I clasped my hands together before putting them between my thighs.

"So I spoke to Christian and he didn't tell me much...except your name, and then sent me in here to get to know you better." He smiled, taking a seat opposite me.

"So you're here by force then?" Smirking, I raised my eyebrows at him. Joking...I could do this. At least it would make me feel a lot less nervous than I currently am.

"Of course." He teased me back.

Exaggerating an eye roll, I moved my hands, resting my head in my hands as I watched him. "How do we get to know one another then?" I asked him.

"Well...we could do the whole cliché twenty question thing or we could go get coffee and see where the day takes us?" He offered. "Not like that!" He rushed out once he'd seen my facial expression. "Besides I'd have to take you on at least one date.." He added on.

"Only one?" I clicked my tongue playfully. "You're easy." I told him before I had even realised what came from my mouth. "Oh, fuck, sorry, I didn't mean that like that."

I continued to ramble on, until Daniel's laughter cut me off, making me flush red. "Sorry," I squeaked out once more, for good measure.

"It's fine, trust me. I've been called worse." He reassured me. Well, tried to.

"So you are easy then?" I smirked.

"Quite the opposite, more hard to get." Laughing, I held my hand up for him to high five me.

"...Did you just high five me?"

"Yes, yes I did." I blushed darker (if possible) and gave him one nod of the head.

Shaking his head with laughter, he stood up from his chair. "Coffee then?"

-

"You didn't have to pay," I reassured him, wrapping my hands tightly around the warm mug. We'd taken a short walk down to a local Cafe, the people in here obviously noticing that it was Daniel who had just came in, but were kind enough to leave him alone. For now.

"Tell me about yourself then," He smiled, taking a seat in the booth opposite me, ignoring my previous comment about him paying.
