Chapter 25

Vanilla and strawberries.

Those were the scents that welcomed me inside Hiraeth's penthouse. And with a background piano music my heart thumped, I didn't expect it to be this simple yet romantic, and I'm glad it wasn't the full blown type of surprise dinner, but here it is, on her dining table, are elegantly placed table utensils.

"It's done by Welch," bulong niya sa akin, her arms now holding mine, "She was planning to fully design the whole kitchen, but I told her not to, I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable, good thing she listened."

My hand smoothly found its way to her waist, and gently, I placed a kiss on her forehead, "Thank you, Le Cheri."

"Anything."

"Do you want to change first?" tanong ko, I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

"Yeah, are you going to wait for me here?"

I nodded, and when she left me alone, I looked around the kitchen na para bang first time ko lang. The room's light is dimmed, at doon pa lang umaalingasaw na agad ang elegance kahit na simple lang ang setting, naka-tulong pa ang tugtog na soft lang naming naririnig sa buong penthouse, no fabric on the table, just flowers in the vase, wine glass on both side of the table, and the covered food.

I heard footsteps coming near, and when I looked, it was Hiraeth on her comfortable clothes. Ang buhok niyang kanina ay naka-bun noong nasa opisina niya kami ay naka-baba na ngayon, kaya ang flowy ng buhok niya.

"Shall we?" she asked, I immediately nodded, not wanting to enter another trance because of how beautiful she looked.

We sat down, and the moment we removed the cover of the food, it's delicious aroma filled the room, and looking at the woman in front of me made me feel butterflies inside my stomach.

"Can I take a picture of it? Or how about a picture together?" I asked her, pwede ko ba 'tong i-flex sa mga delulu sa X?

"Sure, go on." she gave me time to do what I want, like taking pictures of the food and then our photo together, she participated whole heartedly.

"Done, hehe." I informed her, putting aside my phone and focusing on the prepared dish in front of me by the woman who's looking at me right now.

"Let's eat then." I nodded,

Wala pa ako sa sa kalagitnaan ng pagkain gumana na agad ang bunganga ko, kaya ito, dinadaldal ko na si Hiraeth.

"Ang bait naman ni Caity to do this, boss ko yun ha."

"Nah, she asked me millions for this, overpricing siya, the next time I'll ask her to do something and she asked too much money I'll sue her." I looked at her in shock, hindi makapaniwala sa narinig.

Lintis, kung alam ko lang na ganun kamahal ang bayad kay Caity edi sana ako na lang ang nag-design dito, keri ko nanaman siguro nag-search sa Youtube kung paano magluto nitong kinakain namin ngayon.

"What's this dish anyway?" I asked her, hindi pa rin makapag-process ng maayos ang utak ko kung gaano kamahal lahat ng 'to.

"It's Bourbon Pecan Chicken, I think? I made Welch decide on the food, I said we needed something light, since you already ate earlier."

"Wow, thanks?" I chuckled, and started eating the food, she did the same.

We had small talks, having fun with the quiet ambience, her elegance exuded, while my simp ass self did not bother hiding itself and would compliment her from time to time, when we're about to finish eating I didn't forget to tell her about the concert, again.

"So, will you come to my concert?" I asked her, eating the last bite of my meal.

"You're getting more persistent." she commented, I just smiled at her shyly.
