The sun hasn't risen yet when Clarence found himself opening his eyes from what felt like a short nap rather than sleep.

There were continuous painful pounding in his head. He groaned displeased.

He gazed at the ceiling still feeling a bit drowsy until he realized that he was hearing something.

For a second he thought that it was raining outside yet he felt lazy to even avert his gaze from the ceiling. Soon the sound registered in his ears as if it were that of the 'ssssssssssss' sound a radio makes whenever it lost signal.

They didn't have a radio up here. It finally crossed him that it was the T.V. and so he stirred, moving to face the cause of the noise.

He grumpily stood up and turned it off.

Just across it, through the lampshade also left open, he saw Melody still seated on the couch as she sleeps.

He wondered how uncomfortable it was lying on the couch wearing the heavy dress.

Still in his sleepy state he tried not to stumble as he carried and settled her on the right side of the bed.

He came around to lie on the other side and placed a pillow between them.

Sharing the bed wouldn't be much of a problem. There was actually plenty of space to lie on, it was a king size bed after all.

Lying on his side, his back turned from Melody, Clarence tried going back to sleep.

Melody stirred as she put her leg over the side pillow.

The sunlight was starting to illuminate the room brightly but the breezy morning air bound her onto wanting more sleep so she shifted to hug the pillow, moving away from the sun rays that were able to pass through the drapes.

Clarence woke as his eyes got hit by the radiance of the morning light.

He could feel the cold air against his skin and had contemplated that it was somewhat a wrong move to sleep topless.

He might catch cold, he thought.

Well at least the pounding on his head wasn't there anymore.

He slowly opened his eyes and blinked a couple of times trying to adjust his eyes as the sunlight momentarily blinded his sight.

He noticed that his movements were somewhat strained as the image of his big and white side pillow came to his sleepy view.

He reached to gently tug onto it and then his eyes flew wide open.

His pillow felt softly weird, it was warm... and it was hugging him as well.

He looked down to see Melody halfway propped on top of him.

He felt one of her leg between his against the lacy hem of her gown.

Her back was turned from the sunshine making her disheveled brown hair appear to be a much lighter shade of brown, and half of her pale face glowed as it was also hit by the sun.

He held his breath the moment Melody nuzzled closely on his bare chest hugging him tighter.

He gulped and just stared unmoved.

Melody nuzzled onto the side pillow hugging it more tightly.

She'd have to bring her own pillow next time, this one’s just a bit hard instead of having a cottony feel.

She made another squeeze onto it and slowly opened her eyes.

Before Clarence could even process everything, his gaze was then met by Melody's as she opened hers.
