After them having ample of minutes standing under the rain, Melody locked herself in her room the moment they went home from the bistro. And Clarence just gave her space.

What surprised him is that it bugged him more than he thought it would. He wasn't able to sleep well thinking of Melody crying non-stop in her room. He went to sit on his bed exasperated while he mumbled,

"Ugh. Clarence why the F' can't you go to sleep?"

He turned his head to look at the digital clock placed on the study table beside his bed.

"For Pete's sake it's 3AM!"

He leaned backwards hitting the bed hard, and extended his hand, tapping the surface of the bed a couple of times trying to find his phone in the dark. There were four text messages from Cindy yet again asking him if they could see each other tomorrow.

He simply deleted it and continued venturing his phone.

It has been a long and tiring day for him and now he wondered why it was so hard for him to sleep when in fact, it was what he wanted to do that afternoon before he went to give Melody a drive to the bistro.

He scratched the side of his neck in frustration, admitting that he was in deed worried and concerned for her.

Ever since the wedding, he noticed she had been trying to be brave. After all, she was even able to talk back at him and handle him unlike the countless times when she would just run off, fleeing away from him for weeks during the last encounter they have before the marriage.

She's change a lot indeed compared to the last time they saw each other before his family left the country, she seemed tougher now.

But what happened earlier was a total fall back. Clarence was frightened, for a second he thought Melody was going to faint. She litterally looked so fragile than ever before.

Comparing things with his own relationship, whenever he and Cindy goes into a fight, Cindy never stops blabbering until she gets her point through.

On the other hand, with Melody and Alexander's - of course depending it with what he overheard- it was the opposite. Melody was still sweet and gentle with her words despite the guy's angry tone. Why did she let that douche bag treat her like that?

With the looks of it, it seemed like she's not used with the occurrence of fighting with her boyfriend. Could that be the first time they ever went into a heavy fight? Could be. Maybe. Clarence debated.

There's no questioning that Melody plans to go back to Alexander right after they've solve this marriage problem. Should he help her assure Alex instead?

On the second thought, that might not be a very good idea. He has to avoid bringing himself in, specially now that it was clear that Melody's boyfriend doesn't want him to have physical contact with her.

Talking the guy through it and explaining that he'd never do what he thinks he'll do and stick with the annulment plan will surely not make Alexander's wrath lightened. For all he knows, Alexander might go punch him without letting him finish explaining.

Or better yet, it would be the other way around. Even after today's energy consuming whirlpool of events, he still wanted to punch the guy into a bloody pulp.

The way Alex was being possessive of her might have been because of love but it had too much selfishness as well.

And not to mention the lack of trust.

He sighed. That reminded him of his past relationship with Cindy. So much for the trust issues.

He walked out of his room to go downstairs deciding to munch a snack and maybe find his way to sleep after it.
