AWKWARD

is an understatement for both Melody and Clarence the whole week since the little 'tripped-on-the-remote' incident.

Melody stole a glance at him as Clarence put an ice bag on his still bruised right eye.

At least it looked less painful now unlike the day after the thing -which supposedly she doesn't want to remember- happened. It used to be a big purplish-black contusion almost surrounding all the skin around the portion of his eye, now it was barely just a small dark mark under his eye.

A mark which both of them hoped wouldn't be noticed by Gertrude or anyone when they arrive home the next day or so since today supposedly is their last day in Japan.

Melody had been doing her best to elude long encounters and conversations with Clarence. She can't be blamed though. She's a girl.

How does he expect her to react in such an occurrence?

Truth be told it was her first time to see such a... 'thing.' Other than making out, Xander never made any advances on her before. His patience and respect for her amused Melody so much.

It was a trait most of the guys nowadays seemed to have long forgotten.

That night when Clarence fell almost right on top of her, there was a brief pause, and right after she screamed she punched him with all she had.

Not that Clarence made any sexual advances on her, she knew it was an accident.

Punching him was purely out of impulse. An impulse which was purely out of mortification.

Yet again who wouldn't act the way she did? It was nothing but a normal reaction. Right?

And no, it wasn't because she despise him. She would have punched whoever random guy it was all the same.

Even with the fact that guy is good-looking, and which by then she happened to discover to also posses a physique like those of the guys you see on celebrity magazines.

She must admit, she did marveled a bit at how Clarence' chest and stomach were chiseled like those of the statues of Greek gods. Minus the awkward situation, Clarence did look hot with his firm chest muscles and six-packs.

Not to mention that v outlined on his hips where his ...

Wait! WHAT THE HELL!?

Melody blocked her thought which seems to have its own life before it went out of control with something disgusting for her own taste.

It was an accident, yet it was his fault.

If he weren't that psycho enough to go around half-naked just to make her feel awkward, then no such thing would have took place. Way the go with wanting to make things awkward for her.

Melody frowned as she diverted her eyes to the side the moment Clarence passed by her heading towards the kitchen.

With the ice bag still held on his eyes Clarence looked back at Melody the moment he reached far behind her.

He siged.

Every time he pass her by or look at her -with her being aware of it- he noticed that her face turns to a light shade of crimson.

He pondered perhaps she's blushing remembering what she saw. But for all he knows it was just his subconscious being cocky as it is.

For all he know the reddening of Melody's face could more likely because of anger.

She's been acting as if he was invisible for a week now since the incident.

What he doesn't get is the way Melody took things the way she does.
