Two days passed since the little necklace incident at Rikkuguen.
Since that day Clarence and Melody have been roaming around the city taking random pictures just so they'd be able to abide with what Gertrude requested.
It was indeed an achievement for both of them that they were able to elude having arguements.
Clarence was a bit intrigued about the history of Melody's necklace.
It must have meant something judging by the way she acted that day.
But he didn't made much query about it.
No he didn't, he was more preoccupied with giving himself queries regarding about his reactions towards her that same day.
At the end, he got fed up with the way he was overthinking.
Seeing it, Melody could pass as a pretty face but could never be the type he'd be falling for.
It could have been just a bit of a brotherly attraction. Err, reaction rather.
The same way he sometimes felt towards her during their younger years.
Believe it or not, it wasn't always rudeness and mockery back then. He did try being nice too. Though it somehow just always didn't go smoothly the way he planed. It was inevitable, they did have a lot of difference even before.
Clarence turns his head to see Melody watching anime on TV. They didn't have any roadtrip plans for today. And he sure is having a great foresight on how Melody plans to spend her time this morning.
"Aren't you a little old to watch an anime like that?"
He looks at her queasily.
She then looks back straight faced.
"You're the only one whose old here. So shoo! And go mind your own business."
"Grumpy."
He muttered sternly and just head towards the phone.
He starts scanning the pages of the directory looking for a fastfood that offers western food.
"Hey, I was thinking we order something different outside. What do you say Ms. Grumpy? Today's cheat day."
He looks at Melody who is too busy watching her anime.
She seems to comprehend for awhile.
"Oh! I know, I really miss eating burger and fries!"
