Melody watched as Clarence’s throat moved indicating he gulped. A clear sign that he’s somehow affected.

She walked closer to him, close to completing her revenge for his “crush joke” earlier that day.

Their random flirting which started out friendly was slowly turning into a dangerous game.

Had he known how much it’s affecting her that’s why he kept throwing him off guard with his jokes?

He must have enjoyed how tensed she looked. Maybe?

Had he really discovered her developing attraction to him and all along was toying her?

She had been thinking of it since awhile ago while cleaning after their barbeque party, and have now gathered up all courage to turn the tables.

Despite hesitant whether she’d actually earn a reaction from him or not, she’s determined to give him a taste of his own medicine.

Maybe then he’d realize the red sign and stop from stirring unnecessary feelings from her.

Feelings that she’s oh so afraid would continue growing for she knew that it will just end up unrequited.

She stopped when she was just inches away from him.

“Still no response, Clarence?” She teased in a soft voice. Trying her best to sound sexy.

He stood there staring at her.
“You know you’re playing a dangerous game, Missy.” He finally spoke in a low raspy voice, scolding her. “Did you know you already used the same tactic back when you were drunk over your ex?”

“What? I did?” She honestly couldn’t remember. That was almost months ago, plus that was her first time being hard core drunk.

“Yep, I told you before right? That you even nibbled at my ear.” Oh. Yeah, he did tell her that. This plan wouldn’t work this time then.

Anyway, she guessed that’s it for her little revenge. At least she earned a reaction - a gulp.

“Well today, YOU started it. You tensed up too. This is a lesson for you to stop throwing flirty jokes at me, got it?” She childishly stuck her tongue at him and continued. “I’ve got minimal reactions from you, but I guess I got my point through.”

Silence lingered in the air for a bit.

“Minimal reaction? Are you sure?” His voice yet again raspy and lower than usual.

“What do you m-“
She stopped mid-sentence and as if her eyes had life of their own, started trailing down Clarence’s form until her gaze landed on the bulge straining his jeans.

Now it was her turn to gulp.
She backed away and turned towards the sliding glass door to the connected veranda of their rooms.

“Now we’re even. S-so, good ni-ight.” She stammered not able to hide the embarrassment as she escaped to her room.

Her back landed on her bed with a loud ‘thump’ quickly laying in panic. She grabbed a pillow and covered her face, engulfed with embarrassment.

She can literally feel her cheeks burning up.

Her revenge actually backfired on her. She never would have guessed Clarence would react that way with mere teasing words.

He actually had a hard on.
A HARD ON!

With that her mind did a double take giving her a flashback when she accidentally saw him naked back when they were in a hotel in Japan during their ‘honeymoon.’
