Melody felt as if she was betraying her Xander. She opened her eyes trying to remove her bedazzled state as it slowly sinks into her;
The last guy on earth that she thought she would ever kiss kissed her.
She has known her groom since she was nine.
They were childhood friends or rather more like childhood frienemies. (Friend + enemy)
Her dad and his were best of friends and so their families used to bond during summer vacations and holidays.
And they became accustomed to each other not because they wanted to but because their fathers forced them to.
Since both of them don't have siblings and their age doesn't have that much gap, their parents assumed that they'd easily get along.
Melody fidgeted as she remembered the first time they met.
It was one of her childhood nightmares.
And who would have thought that the one who've took participation onto such bad memories is now standing close in front of her.
Her groom not at the very least the guy that she maybe spending the rest of her life with.
Only God knows how she could ever deal with this guy from this day onwards.
Her mind went blank as she tried figuring it out.
It could even be worse than the bad odds she is experiencing today.
She sighed and forced a fake smile as she continued their façade of being a couple deeply in love.
A play others would call wedding.
She would have been more than happy if only this is just what she thought was,
a stage play wherein she, for the first time became the lead
but then again at the end of the day everything happening is real. And the only thing that is sham is the way she acts.
For the past hours now she had been enduring the uncomfortable feeling of the heavy fabric hugging her quite tightly that she had to tuck her belly in just so she could fit in the gown.
Despite of its slightly uncomfortable feel, it was physically perfect if you would ask her.
It could even be one of those dresses she'd dream of wearing.
The upper part of the white shiny dress appeared to be a tube top having a heart shaped pattern at her bosom
and a see-through lace that was used for another upper neck line and sleeves that go down up to her elbows. The midsection of the dress was accentuated with purple swirling designs glittering whenever struck by light.
It clings unto her waist creating an hour glass effect,
an illusion made by the corset that the stylist asked her to wear. The dress has a pencil cut skirt.
Its hem is short and is just above the knee and has an extension of another white thin silk fabric that extends outward having an opening that divides the lower front of the dress into half and shows just enough of her pale colored legs. The light fabric is long and the back part of it slides onto the floor as she walks through the aisle with her left hand in tow with Clarence's right arm.
He is wearing an elegant black suit with matching white bow tie.
He looked stunning that most of the ladies whom became witness of the ceremony would have envied and have wanted to be on Melody's shoes.
