Ugh God, I'm so tired...
'You just woke up...' That annoying voice inside me says.
Shut up..
I'm in those moments when your body is tired and just wants to keep sleeping but your mind is like: 'sorry dude, Already thinking way too much to fall asleep again'.
I rub my eyes without sitting up and blink slowly, I look around.
Where am I?
"Good morning" someone says.
"W-what?" I sit up.Then I realise I'm inside a car. No, an ambulance. "Ratchet?"
"Hi there Caelyn" he replies.
"Hi" I smile.
"Slept well?"
"Actually, yes. Still tired though" I yawn.
"Just wait to see the others" he says.
"The others? What do you mean?"
"When you fell asleep leaning on that rock you had been sitting on, I couldn't just leave you there to sleep so I took you in while they kept goofing around for a lot more"
I chuckle.
"Thanks"
"You're welcome"
"Oh I... I'm not sure if I actually thanked you for... before..." I say.
"Before?"
"Yeah, you know, when Ironhide.. Burned my arm and.. When the Decepticon almost ripped my arm off..." I look at those scars in my right arm.
Man, I feel like that happened ages ago...
Time goes so fast...
"Well, you actually cured me so... Thank you"
"That's why I'm here" he simply replies.
"You know, I'll have to disagree with that..." I tell him.
"What do you mean?"
"You're not here just to cure others, you're also a warrior, an irreplaceable member of the team.... A friend"
He stays silent for some seconds.
"Optimus told me that once..."
"He did..?"
"Yes.... Thank you"
"For...?"
"Sometimes you just need to hear comments like that..." He says.
"Anytime, Doc"
"Just... Don't call me like that"
I chuckle.
"Sorry Ratchet"
"Now that's better"
I shake my head and giggle. I look outside and see the Autobots sleeping... Not even in their alt modes, they just lie there, on the grass, robot mode, in stasis.
"Where's Optimus?" I ask. "He went back to NEST, didn't he?"
"He did" Ratchet replies. "But not before he made sure you were asleep, believe me"
"He... What?"
"Yeah, when he was sure you had fallen asleep here inside, that's when he left" he says. "And he never does that... He only did once with Bumblebee, now with you"
"Really?" I place my elbows on my knees and rest my head on my hands.
"Yes... He really appreciates you... I had never seen him getting so close to a human before" he says.
