69: Photographs and Scars

I can only freeze at the blue optics staring back at me from the reflection.

They look so broken. So scared.

I'm broken. And I'm scared.

Things begin to fade away.

This can't be happening.

That's when an explosion rattles the place.

I wince as my head falls sideways, making everything hurt once again. Why does it hurt so much? Why is this happening? This can't be true...

I can only lay completely frozen on the floor as Megatron and Soundwave rush out of the place. It hurts so much... I can't move. Everything's so blurry... I begin to fade away...

Shots are heard. They scream. Smoke comes from everywhere.

Everything happens so fast.. yet so slow...

I can only feel pain as a deep numbness begins to take over me. It feels like the smoke is inside of my head. I can't think clearly. I can't do anything. I can't see.

They keep screaming. Yelling orders. Things fall. The earth shakes. I begin to close my eyes.

Then, I feel someone touching my shoulder.

"Hey, hey, stay with me" he speaks softly, I try to move my head to look up. "You're gonna be okay, Caely" I try to fix my sight on the blue 'Bot. I know I've seen him before. I know him...

"It... hurts..." I whimper, trying open my eyes completely once again. But I begin to slip...

"I know, I know, but stay awake, okay? That's all you have to do" He begins to wrap his arms around me, and it makes me sob in pain. The shots and the smoke continue, but someone yells something from outside this room.

"Jolt, hurry up, dammit!" I know that voice.

"Hold on!" The blue mech yells back, softening his look as he stares at my face. He lifts me up. "We're gonna take you out of here, Caely"

He turns around and begins to run somewhere, I snivel, trying hard not to scream as everything aches. We rush through the large room, things fall beside us, he dodges the 'Cons shooting, dust makes him cough, we get next to another blue frame.

"Stay awake, Cael! You're gonna be okay!" the other 'Bot talks as we rush beside him. It's all a disaster. I can barely see. I can barely think.

I can barely stay awake.

"Come on Cael, stay with me, stay with me...."

My eyes can't remain open...

My breath slows down...

And the fire and the ashes become my lullaby.

"That's not possible, Ryan wasn't alive back then" Will frowns, looking back at the picture.

"~It's him. ~I know it's him. ~He was in the photograph she had" Bumblebee points at Cael's father. Remembering the old picture she held so carefully. He knows humans can look a lot alike when they're related, but not like this...

"It must've been someone who looked a lot like him, maybe an old relative, Bee"

"~But they're exactly the same..." He mutters.
