-----------------

''Come on baby, please come with me?'' Camila pouts at her girlfriend, hoping to convince her to come on the Ferris wheel with her. But Lauren doesn't give in, staring at the huge thing with wide eyes.

''Camz.. You know I hate heights, I'm not going in there!'' Lauren answers in a small voice, trying to pull her hand out of Camila's, but the brown-eyed girl doesn't let go of her.

''Pleeeeeaaase?'' Camila mutters, pulling out her best puppy eyes and sticking her bottom lip out even further. But Lauren shakes her head again and turns away from Camila with a sad frown.

''You go, I'll wait here.'' She answers, which makes Camila frown.

''You don't seriously believe that I would let you stand here, alone, while I go on the Ferris wheel, alone, right? Come on Laur, I would never do that.'' She answers, gently placing her hand on her girlfriend's shoulder to try and turn her around.

When Lauren looks at her, there are tears in her eyes, and Camila's heart immediately hurts from the sight as worry falls over her.

''Hey.. baby what's wrong?'' she asks, stepping forward and letting her hands rest on her cheeks. Her eyes are searching Lauren's carefully, hoping to find the reason for her sadness.

''We don't have to go on the Ferris wheel if you really don't want to..'' Camila trails off, letting her thumbs run over her girlfriend's cheekbones gently.

''No, it's not that..'' Lauren mutters, trying her hardest to pull her eyes away from those never ending brown pools of love. But she can't, Camila's eyes have always captivated her, and they bring her some odd sort of comfort now again.

''Then what is it?''

Lauren takes a deep breath and looks down. ''I don't know.. I just.. I feel like I'm holding you back sometimes.'' She mutters, not daring to look up again. But Camila's hands stay on her cheeks, her thumbs keep caressing them gently and Camila chuckles, causing Lauren to look up at her again.

''You're holding me down? Laur, if there's one person on this whole entire planet that's lifting me up, it's you.'' She says softly, letting her thumbs slide down to her girlfriend's jaw.

''No, I'm not. I made sure you stayed home and studied instead of having fun and going out with you. I am the one that kept you from buying a plane ticket to visit your family because of the money, I can't go on rides with you because of my fear of heights, I can't..-'' Lauren rambles, but Camila interrupts her.

''Babe, stop. You know I don't see it like that right?'' she says, searching for Lauren's understanding in her eyes, but she can't find it yet.

''Lauren, you're the one that pushes me to work harder on studying to be an astronaut. You know that's my dream and you're helping me reach it. You're the realistic one in our relationship that makes sure we're not going red in our bank accounts because of me having a wave of home-sickness and wanting to visit my parents. You're the one that keeps me out of trouble and makes me want to be better for you. You're the most important person in my life, I couldn't spend a day without you. And you not daring to go on rides with me like this Ferris wheel doesn't change any of that.'' Camila says sweetly, trying her hardest to convince Lauren and take her doubts away.

Lauren gulps and searches her girlfriend's eyes for any lies or excuses, but she can't find anything. Her heart flutters because of the honest and loving words Camila just spoke, and she finds that her worries are fading away almost instantly.
