''Kyano!'' Camila calls out happily as soon as she lays eyes on her little boy. An enormous grin takes over her face while her eyes scan his body and face to check for any negative signs of pain, but thankfully she doesn't find any.

''Mommy, I got you this!'' Kyano calls out, running over towards his mother's hospital bed with the balloon in his hands that says 'feel better'. Lauren smiles and gets off the bed after pressing a kiss against her girlfriend's cheek. She holds out her hands to lift him up in her arms while he reaches out to Camila to hand over the balloon.

''Oh wow, that is so sweet of you baby, thank you so much.'' Camila says with tears in her eyes, looking at Lauren to take the balloon from their son.

''Baby what do you think, shall we tie it to mommy's bed so it'll be with her?'' Lauren asks, while Camila reaches out to hold Kyano's hand in her own. Her heart is beating incredibly fast from finally being able to lay eyes on her beautiful son again, and the machine next to her makes it known to everybody by beeping out each beat rapidly.

''Yes!'' Kyano calls out happily, now reaching both hands out to Camila and Lauren gets his silent message.

''Baby, careful. Mommy has pain so be really gentle with her, okay?'' She asks him, watching him nod without taking his eyes off of Camila and Lauren leans forward to sit him down right next to his mother.

Tears appear in her eyes immediately when she sees their son throwing himself forward into his mom's waiting arms without any sense of carefulness at all, and buries his face against her neck almost immediately.

''Hey, baby...'' Camila whispers into his hair, closing her eyes and wrapping her arms around him tightly, not planning on letting him go any time soon. His small arms are wrapped around her neck and the astronaut presses her cheek against his head before pressing a kiss against his brown curls gently. She lets out a deep sigh, the feeling of safety and relieve overwhelming her completely from finally holding her son in her arms again.

Lauren watches the emotional reunion of her two loved ones with tears streaming down her cheeks rapidly now. There is so much emotion and relieve and happiness put in that hug from both Kyano and Camila that everybody in the room can feel the love they have for each other.

''I missed you so much.'' Camila mutters softly, her eyes still squeezed closed. She breathes in his familiar scent, feels his arms around her neck, his weight on her body and it feels like everything just fades to the background. She instantly forgets where she is, everything that happened and the pain she feels in her body, all because of finally having her son back.

''I missed you too.'' He says back and it makes Camila tighten her grip around him even more. Her body is protesting against her actions but holding Kyano is way more important to her than anything else on this planet right now.

She feels Kyano pull his arms back from her neck and fold them together on her chest while he lays on top of her comfortably. Camila presses another kiss against his forehead and runs one of her hands up and down his small back in soothing movements.

''Sweetie?'' Lauren's voice calls out and both Camila and Kyano look up at her questioningly. Then Camila smiles when she holds out his stuffed lion to him which he takes without wasting a second. He presses his lion against his chest before laying back down on Camila's chest again, pushing his thumb in his mouth and closing his eyes.

Camila sighs again with closed eyes. There aren't enough words to describe the intense amount of love, relieve, hope and happiness she feels right now. She can only kiss his head again and look up at her girlfriend with the most loving and calm smile Lauren has ever seen.
