''Mommy!'' Kyano yells out as soon as he sees his mother in the big room. He wiggles his hand out of Dinah's and the woman is too slow to stop the 5-year old from running up to his mom. Dinah chuckles and shakes her head while following the little boy over to his mother's desk.

''Are you ready, baby?'' Dinah hears Lauren ask once she has reached her workstation, dodging different nerds on her way and silently laughing at them checking her out shamelessly. They're probably not used to seeing a woman in here, except for Lauren of course.

''Hey Dinah, thanks for bringing him over.'' Lauren greets her while hoisting her son onto her lap, who looks at her laptop screen impatiently and with big eyes.

''No problem Laur. I'm just glad Roy finally allowed this.'' Dinah answers, taking a seat next to her best friend and ruffling Kyano's hair playfully.

After much begging from Lauren, Roy has finally allowed Kyano to come over to chat with Camila. It breaks Lauren's heart to see how much Kyano misses her, and it also hurts to see how much Camila misses him in return. After a month of begging and pleading, Roy set up this one hour chat between Kyano and Camila, probably hoping to get Lauren off his back about this.

''Where's mama?'' Kyano asks, reaching out to tap Lauren's laptop screen, but halts when Lauren grabs his little hand.

''Honey, I know you're excited, but you can't touch anything alright? If you press the wrong button, we can't talk to mama anymore. So let me do the tapping, and in a few minutes you can talk to her, alright?'' Lauren asks him sweetly, and Kyano nods in agreement. He pushes his thumb into his mouth while Lauren presses a kiss against his head and starts tapping and typing away on her screen.

''How was your day sweetie?'' Lauren asks while Kyano pushes his body further back into his mom's front and lets his head rest against her collarbone.

''S'fine.'' He mutters, his eyes following Lauren's movements carefully.

''Aren't you going to tell mommy about our drawing contest?'' Dinah asks from next to them and Lauren shares a quick smile with her before focusing back on her work.

''You had a drawing contest with Dinah? Who won?'' she asks him, pressing her lips against his scalp, her nose buried in his brown hair that has the heavenly smell of children's pirate shampoo.

''I won, obviously.'' Dinah comments with a smirk and Kyano looks up at her from his position in his mom's lap and shakes his head tiredly.

''I won, mommy Dinah is lying.'' He accuses and Lauren chuckles.

''Dinah is always lying, she's a cheater.'' Lauren mutters back to him and Kyano nods, but Dinah scoffs.

''Oh, the nerve. Don't be rude Ralph.'' Her best friend comments with a smile. Kyano doesn't pay their conversation much more attention, too focused on the screen.

''Are you tired?'' Lauren asks him again, but only receives a nod from her son. She turns to look at Dinah questioningly who sends her a smile.

''He got really excited when you called us to come over for this, so I guess he just tired himself out completely on the way here.'' She explains, and Lauren nods knowingly, because that happens a lot. The little Cabello will get so excited that he literally jumps and bounces around, exhausting himself in the progress while his head is consumed with too many thoughts to process.

''Here baby, put this on.'' Lauren says after clicking the button to connect the call to the space station, and hands her son his own headphones with microphone. She hands one to Dinah as well, so she can talk too, though she suspects that Dinah won't say that much to Camila.
