Pan Wukun was essentially Wen Qing's medical assistant. Other than Wen Ning, of course.
CPR didn't require cultivation so Wen Qing didn't unseal Pan Wukun's acupoints, unfortunately.
There was no denying it. Wen Qing may not be bloodthirsty and power-hungry like Wen Ruohan and his sons but she was not on Pan Wukun's side. She could only keep Pan Wukun alive as long as she didn't threaten the QishanWen sect.
Pan Wukun couldn't blame Wen Qing for that. Any signs of possible betrayal from Wen Qing would incur Wen Ruohan's wrath on Wen Ning, Wen Yuan, and the other Yiling Wens.
Pan Wukun wondered if she and Wei Wuxian would even be able to survive until the end of the Sunshot Campaign when the other Great Sects attacked the Nightless City and killed Wen Ruohan.
Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan had survived in this new timeline. They had to come up with a way to save Wei Wuxian somehow.
Everyone knew that Wei Wuxian had been captured by the QishanWen sect.
So Lan Wangji had to save Wei Wuxian somehow. He had to!
Pan Wukun didn't have the power or authority to set Wei Wuxian free.
She could only hope for a miracle...

Wen Ning visited Wei Wuxian's prison cell from time to time to keep him company.
"Pan Wukun's doing great work for my sister! He performed the breathing method to save some of our cultivators!"
Wei Wuxian's expression soured.
Wen Ning blinked. "Wei-gongzi. What's wrong?"
"I-I don't know, okay!" The thought of Pan Wukun's mouth on someone else irritated Wei Wuxian for some reason.
Wei Wuxian pouted. "I...feel a bit weird."
Wen Ning's face filled with worry. "Are you sick?"
"No! No! I'm fine!" Wei Wuxian wrapped his arms around his knees. He buried his face into his arms. "I guess I just really miss seeing Pan Chun..."
Wen Ning smiled. "Don't worry. He's safe with my sister."
Wen Ning and Wei Wuxian tensed at the sound of footsteps.
Wen Chao entered the dungeon with his guards and Wen Zhuliu.
Wen Ning frantically stepped away from Wei Wuxian's cell and bowed. "Greetings, Wen-er-gongzi!"
Wen Chao's face twisted with disgust. "Ugh. Wen Ning, what are you doing here?"
Wen Chao's eyes narrowed. "Don't tell me you're actually getting friendly with Wei Wuxian? You dare betray your own clan, Wen Ning?"
Wen Ning shook his head. "No! That's not it at all! I'm here on my sister's orders!"
Wen Chao rolled his eyes. "Of course, you're always listening to that sister of yours. Anyway, I need to take Wei Wuxian for an interrogation."
Wen Chao's guards entered Wei Wuxian's cell and dragged him out in chains.
Wen Ning stepped in front of them, blocking their way. "Wait. What are you going to do to him?"
Wen Chao sighed in exasperation. "I told you. We're taking him out for an interrogation. It's important to the war!"
Wen Ning didn't move. "But does your older brother know about this? Maybe we should ask my sister to-"
Wen Chao snarled into Wen Ning's face, "Need I remind you that I am the Sect Leader's second son? My choices are not to be questioned. Step aside, Wen Ning. Or do you want Wen Qing to get in trouble?"
