"There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it."
- George Bernard Shaw

OMNISCIENT POV:

There are seldom times in his existence that Peter Pan has ever been truly heartbroken. Many times he will act like he is, just for sympathy or simply for the fun of messing with people, but unfortunately for him... this was not one of those times.

When Lilith's eyes shut, and her breathing became silent, Peter had her wrapped in his arms. His breath caught in his throat. He looked down at her face, and began shaking her head with his elbow as he realized he could no longer feel warmth on her skin.

"No." He sobbed, shaking her more vigorously, as if to force life back into her, "No, no, no!"

Her freckled cheeks once so full of color and curiosity, could not even be lit from the warm colors of the rising sun. Peter could feel the heat on his back as he held Lilith, tears streaming down his dirty face.

He felt something inside of him. Something that was the result of the beautiful tragedy on his lap. It coiled itself up in the pit of his stomach, and all at once came bellowing out of him in an ear-shattering scream. Peter's face looked towards the sky as he closed his eyes and released the monster that came from his throat. He screamed so loudly that he felt his throat tearing up at the severity of it, but he screamed all the same. He screamed her name. Lilith.

Peter felt like the world was spinning away from him. He felt like he was plummeting towards the ground at a million miles an hour, and the stars spun around him as he fell. But soon enough, the stars disappeared. All light disappeared, and he was falling into darkness. Because that's what Lilith was to him -- a light. A shining beacon. Someone that gave him direction, gave him purpose. She was his dream, his only true concern on this unchanging island full of pointless adventures. Sure, Peter had fun in the past, but when he met Lilith that word took on an entirely new meaning. He couldn't fathom how anything in the past could be as much fun as being with her.

But she was gone -- taken. Taken by the merciless pirate that he tried so hard to protect her from... but he had failed. Lilith was gone. And so, Peter screamed. For Lilith, for Smee, and for himself.

In his piercing cry, Peter unleashed a dreadful storm upon Neverland. The sky transformed into dark, monstrous clouds that quickly opened up and hailed down on the island. The sun disappeared, and a violent wind tore trees straight from the ground. The ocean turned into a whirlpool, and grew swells a hundred feet tall. The whole island itself began to shake and crumble.

The people and fairies around Peter were blown and tossed in every direction. Everyone held on to the rocks for dear life, but Peter paid no mind to anybody else.

Prince Elliot Rootith and a Lost Boy (Lucky) were able to stand in the malicious storm. Together, they pried a hysterical Peter away from Lilith's limp body.

"NO!" Peter cried as they held back his arms and pulled him away, "You can't leave her here! I promised I wouldn't leave her!"

The Prince and the Lost Boy held on tightly to Peter's arms while he tried to fight his way back.
"LILITH!" He yelled, watching her body be pelted by the heavy rain droplets, "YOU CAN'T LEAVE HER."

Eventually, the rain made it too hard to see. The last Peter saw of Lilith before Elliot Rootith and Lucky yanked him off the rocks, was her rain-drenched hair sticking to her neck, and her closed eyes facing the dark sky.
