"Sometimes, I think if you get away from what you're called to do, it's more of a distraction." - Joel Osteen

LIL'S POV:

As soon as Peter blew the note, the new battle had begun.

The pirates turned their heads in confusion as the battle cries of Piccaninny warriors and Fairy guards echoed through the night sky.

Peter and I took this as our opportunity to make a move. With the pirate holding me not paying attention, I lifted my leg and swung it backwards with all my might- hitting him right where it hurts. He howled in pain and released me from his painful grip. I yanked another sword from my belt and knocked him on the top of the head as he was peeled over. This immediately caused him to topple, giving me a great view of Peter's escape.

He smashed his forehead into one pirate's face, which made his nose begin to gush with blood as he used a hand to hold his injury. Peter was able to yank his arm free and steal the rapier from the pirate's belt. I flinched momentarily as Peter drove the rapier into the remaining pirate who held him, and the man went slack, freeing Peter completely.

We joined together, back to back, as we heard the commotion going on outside the tent. Our armada was fighting the pirates, which left only three inside with us, including Smee.

His upper lip twitched in annoyance, and he cocked the ring on his pistol.
"You can't get away while I've got this pointed at ya. Ain't no escaping a loaded pistol."
Peter chuckled, defiantly, "I highly doubt that."
"You better watch your mouth, boy."
"Or what? You'll shoot us? I'd like to see you try." Peter calmly said.

Smee's face twisted and I saw him raise the pistol. I knew exactly what to do. As the shot rang out, Peter and I had already lifted into the air of the small tent and were cheerfully fluttering about.

We landed on the roof of the tent, upside down, and laughed.
"Did you see that?" I giggled, "He missed!"
Peter cackled, "Looks like old age brings bad eye sight."

For some reason the two of us found this hilarious, and we erupted with laughter. This infuriated Smee. He raised his pistol again and fired another shot, but it ripped right through the fabric of the tent and didn't come anywhere close to us because we flew to another side of the tent.

Seeing as how their Captain was failing miserably at catching us, the two remaining pirates in the tent lunged at our feet. Peter and I raced around the small tent, flying up and down and around. When the two pirates collided with Smee and they all fell into one, pitiful heap, we stopped.

Peter crossed his arms, "Well, this is quite unfair. Don't you think so, Lilith?"
"What is?" I smiled as we darted around the tent again.
"Three pirates, against two kids."
I held a hand under my chin, "You're right, Peter. I hadn't thought about that."
"Why don't we even out the playing field?" He suggested, giving me a cocked eyebrow.
I avoided another lunge and grinned, "With pleasure."

Peter and I pressed our hands onto the roof of the tent and pushed upwards. Within a matter of seconds, we had literally blown the place over, and left Smee exposed to the war around him.

The two of us floated high in the sky and surveyed the fight. Left and right, swords were ringing and blood was being spilled. Piccaninny's fought pirates, Lost Boys helped Piccannny's, and Fairies held off mermaids. It was utter chaos.

There were a few bodies scattered on the ground. My heart broke in two as I saw fallen fairies and Piccaninny's scattered amongst pirates. I felt sick. I began dry heaving as we floated above the battle, and saw dancing lights all around me. I pointed myself towards the bodies but Peter grabbed my wrist.
