19 Years Later

3 Months after the battle of  Hogwarts, Luna and I decided to elope with only our closest friends and family around. A beautiful little ceremony on the beach at shell cottage, and that's where we found out Asteria was pregnant! Luna handed her bouquet directly to Asteria instead of tossing it, because George had asked us beforehand if he could propose. Luna thought it was a wonderful idea and we agreed, needless to say Asteria was very surprised.

George and Asteria got married a few years later, in 2001 having their adorable toddler, Freddy Remus Weasley be George's best man. That kid grew up to be the spitting image of George. Or maybe Fred.

Luna and I didn't start having children until 2007, after our careers took off and we bought a family home together. I work as a wand maker and a fabric bedazzler (with my Glittara spell) during the summer holidays, and as Charms Professor and Head of Ravenclaw House during the School year at Hogwarts. And Luna, through her love of animals studied to become a magizoologist, and later became the care of magical creatures teacher at Hogwarts, turning Hagrid's old shack (rest in piece, buddy) into a cottage for the two of us to sleep in.

Anyway, back to our kids. Our firstborns were twins! A boy, Sebastian Cedric Gaunt, and five minutes later, a girl, Susanne Juno Gaunt. Sebastian has his mother's eyes, her pale skin and her blonde hair, though he has my face shape and nose and his hair is as wild as mine was at that age. Susanne is the same, but opposite, with my black hair, eye colour and tanner skin, but with Luna's nose and face shape.

Then, in 2012, we had a baby girl, the spitting image of Luna, but with green eyes. We named her Pandora, after Luna's mother. She's six now, and best friends with Asteria's twin girls, Vega and Lyra Weasley, both also six years old.

September 1st, 2018

Well, here we are.
Present day.
And the proudest day of my life.
I run into the wall between platforms 9 and 10, Seb's trolley in my left hand, Susie's in my right. This was their first year at Hogwarts, and Luna and I couldn't be more proud. I handpicked out both of their wands myself, keeping in mind that the wand chooses the wizard, while Teddy Lupin worked part time in my  fabric store.

Susie's wand; Walnut wood with a dragon core, 11 3/4 inches and reasonably supple flexibility.
Sebastian's wand; Elm wood with a dragon core, 14 inches and brittle flexibility.

The three of us push through the magical wall, followed by my lovely, pregnant wife, with Pandora's hand in hers. She looks so cute with that bump and her overalls. Everyday I fear I can't fall more in love with her, and everyday my fears prove me wrong. Asteria and George Weasley were already there, herding their six kids, (with their seventh AND LAST due in a couple months.)

We drive our trolleys past them, passing by Ron and Hermione Weasley, with their two kids, and Harry and Ginny Potter with their three. All saying goodbye to their children who are off to school.

We walk over to Stella and Draco, saying goodbye to Scorpius, their son, and Sissy, their daughter, while Stella is absolutely about to pop at 9 months pregnant. I wave to my sister and my best friend, then to their kids before getting my kids settled for their first day.

"Guys, come here." I say, kneeling down to the twin's height, holding each of their hands in mine. Susie looks at me, hopeful, Seb looks like he may vomit.

"Don't worry guys. You'll have the best time. And remember, mum and dad will be at Hogwarts if you ever need us, okay?"
