"WHAT?!" Miguel asked, shocked and surprised, and I nodded in confirmation. "What the fuck? Are you ok?" He looked at Corey and Anthony and scowled, narrowing his eyes at them while he grew protective of me. "Why the hell did you allow her to be u-"

"They had no fucking choice," I said and shook my head, interrupting Miguel from going into the other two King's Guard and chewing off their heads. "Hell, Anthony tried to make me do shit and had felt my wrath because of something he tried to make me do." I narrowed my eyes at the other man, and he hesitated and bowed his head without saying a word.

"What did he make you do?" Miguel asked and raised an eyebrow in question while he looked between the two of us before he rested his gaze on me. "Is he in trouble?"

"Oh, he is in some deep shit because he tried to order her to go back to one of our bases that were along the way," Corey said with a small laugh in her voice, and Anthony looked at her and glared without saying a word. She flashed him a small smirk and a wink before she looked at Miguel. "I am surprised that he hasn't ended up on the ground with a broken nose or forced back to the castle with his tail tucked between his legs."

"She can't do that," Anthony said with a shake of his head, growing defensive of his actions. "The king w-"

"The king will allow me to kick you out and send you back home, Anthony, especially since he knows that I am at my wits with all that is going on, and all he wants is for me to stay sane enough to do what I need to do and make sure that I survive."

"And to not drink alcohol," Corey said, and I couldn't help but hold back an eye roll while I pressed my lips into a thin line before I took a sip of my tea. She smiled and bowed her head in apology. "Also, you should probably tell him what had happened and what you found out. I won't say anything to the king, and I am not sure that Anthony has said anything yet either..." She looked at him and raised an eyebrow in question, silently asking him if he had said anything yet.

Anthony sighed and shook his head. "No," he said, looking defeated. "I haven't said anything to the king, and I wasn't going to say anything just yet. I didn't want you to be more mad at me than you already are." He looked at me when he said that with a small frown on his face.

"Or to command him to do something that you will probably regret later on," Corey said and flashed me a small smirk and a wink, and I couldn't help but shoot her an annoyed glare. She bit back a small smile and bowed her head in apology. "My apologies, Your Highness. I hope that you can forgive me."

"I hate you both," I said with a small grumble in my voice before I rubbed the bridge of my nose and pursed my lips in annoyance, and Corey snickered and nodded in confirmation as if she already knew that I did. I took a sip of my tea and raised an eyebrow in question when my mate did the same thing at the exact same time. 'Grams,' I instantly warned, and she paused and looked at us with a small smile on her face.

'The teacups are not connected, Dear,' she said before she turned away from us and started to finish pouring the tea for the rest of the group that was gathered with us. 'I am sure that he was thirsty too, which is why he had drunk from his cup at the same time as you. Take another sip if you do not believe me.'

I held back an eye roll and pressed my lips into a thin line before I drank another sip of my tea and watched as Levi didn't do it but was staring at me with a look of confusion on his face.

"What?" he asked and cocked his head to the side, even though amusement flashed through his eyes. A small smile appeared on his face, and he tucked his head closer to his chest. "What is the look on your face for, Lex? Why are you trying to kill your grandmother with your eyes? She hasn't done anything to you; has she?"

I bit back a tired sigh and shook my head. "No," I said, confirming that she had not done anything. "She had not done anything, but we had taken a sip of our tea at the exact same time, and I was worried that she had done something to the cups."

"And has she?" Levi asked, and I shook my head no. He breathed a small sigh of relief and slowly nodded before he took a sip of his tea. He didn't say a word while he did so, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and press my lips into a thin line, amused and annoyed at the man that I called my mate, my love.

"So, you had no choice but to let her do it, whatever it was that she wanted to do?" Migeul asked and raised an eyebrow in question while he looked between the two King's Guard, changing the subject back to what we needed to do.

"Correct," Corey said and nodded, and Anthony begrudgingly nodded at the same time. "She didn't want us to get involved and wouldn't have us leave our hiding spots."

"Were you not seen?" Levi asked and furrowed his brows with a small frown on his face while he looked between the two of us. "How were you both able to hide without anyone sensing you? These are some p-p-" He stopped trying to talk and grabbed his teacup tighter in his hands before he took a sip of his tea with a small grimace on his face.

"They might be powerful, but they are not that powerful, especially when there are those that have combined shit on something to be able to hide us," I said and shook my head, and Levi looked at me with a small frown on his face. "They have their King's Guards suits on underneath their clothes, which stops others from noticing them if they press a button to become invisible."

"And it makes sure that no one knows that we are contacting one another in front of someone else's face," Corey said, and I nodded in agreement. "There is a lot of shit that you don't know about the groups, Levi." She shrugged. "You were supposed to learn everything that Lexi knows, but..." She shrugged off and grimaced, pressing her lips into a thin line.

Levi sighed and moved a hand through his hair and across his face, and his whole body seemed to sink in on itself while defeat filled his body. "I was not able to get there or be noticed by anyone that would have been able to help me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"And I hope that you can forgive us, Alpha," Anthony said and bowed his head with a small frown on his face. "For we have failed in getting you there safe and sound before it was too late..."
