"Tina!"
I turned to see a blonde haired girl with dull blue eyes and a pale complex running over to me, my best friend of four years named Maggie.
"Mags!" I squealed, as I pulled her in for a hug and she complained about how cold the September air was.
"I can't believe it's already our last year," Maggie sighed as we walked along the path to our high school, not too quickly but not too slowly.
"I know, the past five years have passed so fast." I agreed, as I hitched the shoulder bag further up my shoulder, even though it would only fall back down due to it's emptiness.
"But we're head off the school now!" Maggie grinned, the school coming into view.
Our school, St Veronicas, wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It used to be quiet a rough school ten years ago, but then the new head came and it's been totally new developed.
"Year Eleven baby," I grinned like an idiot, pointing to my read collar. At our school, year elevens wear red shirts whilst the rest of the years have red school shirts.
"do you have a pen or anything, I've forgotten?" Maggie blushed, whilst I dug into my pocket and gave her a random pen and pencil.
Once we got to school and greeted everyone, first bell went so we headed off to our form rooms which were next to each other.
I sat in my usual place next to Angus, Michael, Ben and Anthony as they gossiped like old ladies, they greeted me and then we all got handed our timetables.
"Can I see yours Tina?" Anthony asked as I filled in my name on my homework diary, I shoved it in front of him.
"Who's Mr O'Miles?" Ben asked as he looked at my timetable and then at me.
"Who?" I asked, plopping my homework diary into my bag.
"Mr O'Miles?" Michael repeated, his messy blonde hair getting in the way off his glasses.
"Oh Mr O'Miles, my mum said he's the new student teacher till February." Angus shrugged, his mother worked in the main office meaning she knew everything- including who's pregnant and who's leaving.
"Student teacher?" I, Michael, Ben and Anthony chorused.
"Yeah, from Uni or something..." Angus gave us a lost look which meant he hardly knew anything.
"What lesson do I have him for?" I asked Anthony who still had my timetable in his hand.
"History, have fun- you have it for a double period, last on Friday." Anthony laughed. "We have chemistry, statistics, IT and RE together by the way."
"Tina Samantha Riley!" I turned my head and was practically rugby tackled to the floor by what I would describe a mad woman.
"Phoebe Carmen Garrad!" I laughed, as I turned my body to hug my other best friend, her red collar slightly up from her jumping on me.
Phoebe gave me a wild smile, her light brown hair was all tied back like it normally was, her face clear from all make up, brown eyes twinkling. We linked arms, and said 'hey' and 'awe, we need a catch up' and 'you look so tanned' to people we passed.
Once we got to English, the lesson we always had the same every year, we sat down as close to the back as we could and had a proper chat up.
"So how's the whole moving thing?" Phoebe asked me.
"Well my dad really likes this house, and my mum said it's the perfect size kitchen and all blah blah blah..." I sighed.
"Have you seen it yet?"
