Chapter: 26
"Jordan!" I greeted him in the hallway."Hey, Ally!" He smiled. "I'm sorry, I can't walk you to class, I have a thing to do."
"Oh," I said, "okay. I will see you later, then."
"Sure," he smiled. I watched him walk away, just like everyday for the past week. It made me feel down, but I sucked it up, and ignored the eyes on me.
"Ally," someone called.
"Hm?" I asked, not focused.
"Ally!"
"What?" I turned my head to the person who was calling me.
All the noises in the cafeteria got back to me, and I looked around to find all my friends staring at me. I looked at my half eaten chicken burger, avoiding all the gazes that sent my heart racing."Are you okay?" Dylan asked.
"Yeah, of course I am okay!" I said.
He gave me a look, "please tell me. Don't hide anything."
"I am not hiding anything!" I exclaimed.
He gave me a look, "I don't believe you, and you will tell me sooner or later," he whispered.
I groaned, "you're annoying."
He chuckled, and I looked around the table. Austin and Destiny were back chatting, Naomi was texting, Dylan was eating... And Jordan wasn't there. I sighed, rubbing my forehead tiredly.
I want to go home! I'm so tired, and sleepy! So I plugged in my earphones, forgot the world and dived into my music.
"Please tell me," Dylan whined.
"Why do you even care?" I asked.
He raised an eyebrow, "because I care about you! Al, please tell me, you can't hide anything from me!"
"I'm perfectly fine! See?" I plastered a smile.
"I know it's fake. Maybe you will fool other people, but not me. Why are you sad?" He questioned, "what's bothering you?"
"Dylan, I don't want to talk about it!"
"You have to! Talking will make you relieved, I promise!"
I groaned, "I don't know what's wrong. Its like Jordan isn't noticing me anymore!"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean he is barely texting or calling me, he isn't sitting with us anymore, and whenever I try talking to him, he says he has something to do, and just leaves!"
"He sure has a good reason."
"I know! But it gives me an awful feeling! He has been like this for like a week, and it's brining me down!" I sighed, playing with my duvet. I laid down, feeling its softness, it made me feel better being at home with Dylan.
"I hope everything becomes better," he said before hugging me.
"Thanks."
"I know what will cheer you up!" He suddenly exclaimed.
"What?" I frowned, breaking the hug and looking at him.
"I love fireworks!" I shouted, as it exploded and colored the sky.
"Ah! No!" Destiny screamed, and I turned to see Austin holding a sparkler, and pointing it at her.
Something hit my arm, and exploded after falling to he ground. I screamed as it sounded like repeated gun shots. "Did you just throw firecrackers at me?" I shouted at Dylan, who burst out laughing.
