Chapter: 34
Eating lunch, then going to the amusement park...We walked to the dining room, the smell of the meatloaf and chicken pleasuring our nostrils.
My mouth got filled with saliva, and I was ready to start digging in the chicken!"Oh Gosh, it smells so amazing!" Austin sniffed, closing his eyes.
"Come on, dig in people!" My mom took off the cooking gloves, and sitting down.
"I love Christmas!" Austin whispered, passing by us, and ready to start eating.
We were all starving! It was 4 in the afternoon, and we haven't eaten in a while... So, the food reached our elbows and faces as we literally dug in the food.
"Mrs Hilary, your cooking is amazing!" Austin said, his mouth filled with bites from the chicken wing he was holding in his hand.
"He's right! It spectacular!" Dylan grinned.
I noticed Naomi was texting, and then Dylan's phone buzzed.
"Please, check who is it from," he told me.
I dropped down my spoon, and took his iPhone from his jeans. "It's Naomi!" I said in a low voice.
He frowned, "read it!"
"This is boring. Call me."
We looked at each other, with confused looks on our faces."Naomi," Dylan spoke in a whisper. "Why are you texting me?"
Her eyes widened, and she trailed off, checking her phone. "I was just joking," she stuttered.
He tilted his head to the side, then nodded slowly, not buying it at all.
She immediately excused herself, saying that her parents need her, and she left with the twins as soon as we finished eating.
"Good bye, Alice!" One of the twins waved his hand.
"Do you want to come with us to the house? Jordan might come!" The other invited her.
"Jordan?" We asked in unison.
She got pale, "yeah, it's a tradition we have since we became friends that he comes to my house, and we all sit down together!"
"Really? Why don't I know about this?" Dylan questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I just forgot to tell you," she excused. "I'm really sorry, but my parents need me!" And with that, she walked out of the door.
"Okay, that was weird!" I said.
"Totally!" They replied in unison.
"Come on," I poked Dylan, that was staring at the now closed door. "Lets drink some tea!"
"I need a beer," he said, walking up to my room.
"It's suspicious, isn't it?" Austin talked with Destiny in a low voice, but I heard him.
"What are the odds? Finding out the Jordan is a cheater, and that Naomi is hanging out with him. It's not suspicious at all!" Destiny replied with sarcasm.
I frowned, thinking to myself... I hope it isn't what I think it is.
"I love beer!" Dylan said, taking a gulp.
"It's the cure of everything!" I added.
"It's the thing that kills you," Destiny spoke.
"I love cigarettes," Austin said.
"It's the thing that calms the soul!" I added.
"It's cancer, and bad breath," Destiny spoke.
"Shut it, D!" Dylan grunted.
