Chapter: 42
"A shooting star!" I grinned, pointing at the star."Quick, make a wish!" Dylan closed his eyes shot, holding my hand, so I did the same.
"What did you wish for?" I giggled, after we opened our eyes.
"I won't tell you, then the wish won't come true," he frowned.
I chuckled, "you still believe that?"
He shrugged, "it's fun!"
I laughed, looking at the sky. My feet were dangling from the side of my house's roof. I rested my head on Dylan's shoulder, and felt his head on mine.
He sighed, "the sky is so beautiful!"
"I couldn't agree more!" I said.
It was fascinating! The moon was hiding between the clouds, as they were splattered around the sky in different shapes and patterns. At one side, it was cloudy, at the other, it was clear and amazing, filled with stars.
"Why is the moon so lonely?" I asked, staring at the stars up in the sky, how they danced, and the moon getting visible for a bit from between the clouds. "The stars are just full of joy, but it seems sad!" I was swallowed by the beautiful scenery.
"The moon has lost his love," Dylan replied, intertwining his fingers with mine.
"Who is his love?" I questioned.
"The sun."
"How did he lose her?" I looked at Dylan, his eyes were shining. The brown deep eyes of his were reflecting the sky so clearly. His eyes were so beautiful! It was 2 in the morning, and no one was around except the stars and the moon, we were just chilling on the roof of my house. "Tell me the story about the moon losing his love!"
"The moon and the sun adore each other, but you see, the sun is too strong, she burns everything around her, so they can't be together. The moon needs his love, but they would both die if they got close to each other."
I frowned, "die?!"
He nodded, "the moon wishes he could just kiss the sun once! But if he comes close to her, she will burn him. He will die! And therefore, the sun would be so sad, her cries would destroy the universe, and will turn her fire off, to turn into cold ashes. That's how they both die."
"But... There's no solution!"
"Someday, the moon will do it... He will go kiss her, and that's when the world ends."
"Wow," I whispered.
"Do you know why it rains?" He looked at me.
I shook my head, resting it on his shoulder again, listening to the story.
"Those are the moon's tears. Our parents, and the whole world say that the rain is the clouds crying, they are wrong!"
"They are the moon's tears, because he is missing his love." I continued.
"Correct," he turned his body to me, hugging me from the side. "I'm so glad I'm not the moon."
"We are the stars," I grinned, "always twinkling happily!"
"You know, this conversation may sound so lame later, but I'm enjoying it now."
I chuckled, "yeah. The sky has a weird effect."
"We are like werewolves, we get effected."
I laughed, "I so wish to be a werewolf!"
"Me too! It would be so cool!" He exclaimed, making me burst into a fit of chuckled.
