(Kalifa)
"Hey, Kalifa! Nice to hear from you, you have to come over soon. How have you been?" Asandra spoke excitedly over the phone.
"I'm great, I will let you know when my next visit will be. How are you?"
"I'm ok darling. Your dad misses you and I miss him. You should talk to him sometime soon, he really needs it. Anyway, I have to step away for a second. I hope to see you soon." She spoke quietly then hung up.
"Hey." Ve'Quell sat down beside me, then kissed my lips. "I'm going to head out for a bit before going to practice, ok?"
"Sure, what time do you think you'll be back from practice? I want to have dinner ready."
"Around 8:30, I'm not really sure, I'll call you when I'm on my way." He kissed me again and left the room. I laid back on the bed and slowly fell asleep.
(Ve'Quell)
"I knew you'd be back, this is some serious shit." Darrell said on the other line.
"Man, I don't need a speech, just give it to me." I replied anxiously.
"Alright man, meet me in front of the court, I'll be there in twenty minutes." He hung up and I sped to the destination.
That was two months ago, that was when no one noticed
No one noticed my shaky hands, the sweat, and the shivering
No one knew of the times i was literally itching for this
No one knew...
But now I'm here sniffing this white power
I call it power cause it has control over me, I let myself get comfortable now I'm suffering
I can't blame my brother, I thought I put an end to him
It's like he's risen from the dead, and came back to win
Each time I sniff, it hits my brain, first there's the rush, then there's the pain
My nose starts running, that's how I know it's a good hit
I can't believe I'm here doing this shit
On the side of the school, so no one sees me
Carefully in the car so I won't spill it
The men's shower in the locker room for more privacy
When I'm there it feels like God doesn't have his eye on me
I feel guilty sometimes, I know this is wrong
But dammit I can't quit... It's too strong
