(Kalifa)
Love...
It's such a cliché, it's overused, over-said, over-abused
People say they love someone, but in reality, they barely lust that one
But the love I've found, it's so pure and real
I'd never thought I'd know how it feel
So I'll cherish it and the man I love, also the bundle of joy I've won...

"Hi Fluffy!" I spoke to the little puppy barking at my ankles as I walked into our apartment.
"What's up boy!" Ve'Quell picked him up and scratched his head. Fluffy nudged his little nose in the crook of Q's neck.
Ve'Quell was still a little upset that I found the drugs in his bag, I never really thought twice about it. I believed him, I trusted him to tell me the truth and he did. I guess he still felt guilty so he brought me a small white Morkie, I fell in love with the dog's fluffy black mane, hence the name.
I started on dinner since Ve'Quell's parents were joining us for the evening. I decided to make the family favorite, lasagna. I decided to take Fluffy for a walk while the food was still in the oven and Q was taking a nap.
"Come on boy." I spoke softly after putting on his leash. I threw on a light jacket, just in case it got cold. I quietly closed the front door, making sure I didn't wake my sleeping prince on the couch.
After walking a few blocks down, I noticed a blue car that slowly trailed behind me. I didn't think twice about it until I decided to cut a corner and someone got out.
"Excuse me, are you Kalifa James?" A man with a deep husky voice asked.
"Who are you?" I returned with a question.
"I'm Kalvin, your real father..." he looked around the block and I was happy to see plenty of neighbors cutting grass, sitting on the porch, out in the front yard with their children. It was a sigh of relief.
"Excuse me?" I took a step back.
"Listen, I've been looking for you since your mother died." He pulled a small envelope from his pocket. "Your mother sent this to me after we've divorced, just a year after you were born. She didn't tell me she was pregnant, I had no clue about you." He handed the folded envelope to me.
"I don't want this." I tried to give it back. "You're lying."
"I promise you, I'm not. Just read that and give me a call whenever you want to know the truth." He gave me a card and walked back to his car. Once he pulled off, my phone started to ring.
"Hello?" My voice trembled.
"Where are you? Babe, the food almost burned but I took it out in time."Ve'Quell laughed in the phone.
"Just took fluffy out for a walk, I'll be back shortly." I smiled and put the envelope in my jacket pocket.
"Alright, hurry back." Fluffy and I quickly walked back home. I made sure to check mt surroundings before going inside my apartment.
