"CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE- A Wedding"

May mga bagay lang akong hindi nalinaw sa previous chaps. Baka malito kayo kung ano ba talaga ang pangalan ng isa sa mga Alvaro's.
Daniel Ford Alvaro is the real name of the youngest among the Alvaro brothers. They used to call him 'Dane' or 'Iel'. So wag po kayo magtaka kung ba't ang daming tawag sa kanya.

While the scene for Faye and Jerome's wedding keep on playing in my mind, there's only one place that I knew would be the most suitable venue for their wedding. I've never been in this place but the time I saw it featured in a magazine, hindi ko na siya makalimutan. Super ganda kasi talaga ng lugar. It has a spectacular panoramic view. It was in Bellaroca, somewhere in Marinduque. Try to search it and you'll surely fall inlove with its beauty!

Faye's POV.

Bellaroca Resort.
Marinduque .

The place was all white and lanterns are scattered around. I can smell the sweet scent of the lily of the valley fill the air. The waves from the ocean softly kisses the shore.
It was so quite and peaceful. The moon was in its fullness and it brings light into the darkness of the night.
It was forty-five minutes before twelve midnight.
Macy keeps on ranting about my choice of time for my wedding. Not only her, some of my friends also demands about it the moment they found out.
But I don't care. Its my wedding. I could set my own choice of time. Besides, Jerome agreed with me.
I know its a bit weird. Who would get married at twelve midnight?? But its my choice. I want to say my 'I do' right at the breaking of the dawn.
I smiled as I walk slowly down the aisle. The soft sound of the violin brings sweet melody to my ear. The guy played 'Have I Told You Lately' while I made my way to my future husband.

Few more moments and I'll be Mrs. Faye Lian Lopez-Alvaro. And right now, I still can't believe that we've come this far.

I saw my mom wiped the side of her eyes. And my dad? For the first time in forever, I read his expression. I know he's fighting the urge to cry and was trying hard to look calm.
I giggle at his expression.
I looked around me and smiled sweetly to our guests. I really appreciate their participation and presence in this special occasion. I know they are busy, too, but they still manage to come here and celebrate with us.
I look at Jerome's family. His mom and dad both wore a smile on their faces. Cielo, who was standing beside Adrianne, nods at me. I know there's something going on between the of them but Cielo hadn't told us yet.
Daniel throws a thumbs up gesture at me and I laugh.
I remember his confession to me right after we got home from London.

~Flashback~

'Ate Lian.' I stopped from what I am doing at tumingin sa likod ko.
Daniel was standing there at the doorway of my shop.
'Daniel! What brought you here? Come in, please.' I motion him to come inside.
'I have something to tell you.' Seryosong sabi niya pagkalapit niya sa akin.
'Okay.' Kunot-noong saad ko sabay tango. 'Come to my office. Dun tayo mag-usap.' Nauna na akong maglakad sa kanya.
I wonder kung ano bang sasabihin niya. Maybe it is important dahil sinadya pa talaga niya ako dito sa shop. At isa pa, ang alam ko nasa Nueva Ecija na siya. What is he doing here?
'Akala ko nasa Nueva Ecija ka na ulit.' Hindi ko natiis na sabihin pagka-upo namin.
'Change plan. Tyaka I still have un-finish business with you ate.'
Kinakabahan na talaga ako sa kung ano ba talaga ang sasabihin sa akin ni Daniel.
'What is it, Iel? Tell me.'
'About me, when I was in London...' he started then pause.
'What's about that?' Naiinip na sabi ko.
'Actually, yung pagpunta ko dun eh part of the plan. Even you, going to London is part of the plan.'
Naguluhan ako sa sinabi niya. Part of the plan? What does he mean.
'Look..' huminga siya ng malalim bago magpatuloy. 'Nung pinapunta ka ng parents mo sa London, plano yun ng mga magulang natin. Hindi lang dahil iyon ang gusto nila tito at tita. My parents are also involved in that decision. Gusto nilang i-test kung hanggang san ba kayo dadalhin ng relasyon niyo ni kuya. They want to know if kuya will come chasing you after you leave. Para naman mabantayan ka, at sabihin sa kanila kung ano ba ang kalagayan mo doon, ako ang pinapunta nila to look after you. But when I saw you in pained? I swear, I convinced them to let you go home. But they just refused it.'
Napanga-nga ako sa sinabi ni Daniel. So all throughout, plinano pala talaga nilang lahat na paglayuin kami??
For a moment, natahimik ako. I can't believe my own parents planned this.
'Ate...' tawag sa kin ulit ni Daniel. He sounded worried.
'A-are you sure about this, Iel? Totoo ba ang sinasabi mo?' Hindi pa rin makapaniwalang saad ko.
'Yes ate. Its true. And kaya ko to sinabi sayo dahil I feel guilty about it.' Matatag na tugon niya.
I paused again.
And for the very first time, I feel a sudden anger towards my parents.
