Chapter 21 *SPECIAL*

Devon's P.O.V.

I watched her every move through the glass. She was so beautiful. How long had it been since I had seen her face? Too long. I had lost count of days forever ago.

I watched her listen to Christopher.

I watched her see me.

I watched Christopher propose to her.

I watched her say yes.

It was like my heart had broke.

Amber's P.O.V.

I paced back and forth as I waited anxiously for them to bring my friends. Or, at least, the female ones. Seraphina, Janie, Suzy, and Mira all were escorted through the door and into the room with my mother and me. As soon as they saw me, they all ran towards me and wrapped me in a hug.

'Don't react. Janie cast a spell that allowed us all to communicate through our minds.' It was Mira.

"How have you guys been? They didn't hurt you, did they?"I looked at all of them. I thought, 'Keep talking. But we have to seem like we are getting me ready. They have people watching us.'

Mira and the girls shook their head. "So, where'a the dress?"

My mom stood up and carried the big black dress to them. "It's not actually white but the only color they had was black."

"It's like they want it to be a funeral."Seraphina rolled her eyes before grabbing the dress from my mother.

As they dressed me, I told them about the conversation I had overheard the night before. 'As soon as the wedding is over, they are planning to kill all of you. They think I don't know so we should try to keep it that way.'

I saw a flash of fear cross over Janie's face as she put on my makeup. 'Are you sure?'

'Yes.'

'Well, I guess we'll just have to find a way to change that. Maybe, we could somehow overpower them. Janie could use a spell to distract them for a while or something, right?' Mira tried to be optimistic about it all but we all knew that there was really no way out of this.

'I could try but I can't guarantee that it will work. I might be able to distract them for maybe five minutes. Nothing longer.'Suzy sighed."You have really pretty eyes." I know it was meant to just make it seem like something was going on between us all, but after she had said it, everyone began laughing. Even my mom chuckled from the opposite side of the room

"Thanks."I laughed. The light atmosphere quickly changed back to heavy and silent.

'Maybe we could kill a couple of his men while they are distracted. The more we kill, the less they have on hand. Then, if someone comes while we are trying to escape, we could cast the spell again.'Janie observed the shoes that I was supposed to wear.

'No, the spell takes a lot out of me. I don't have anything for a potion and potions work better for this kind of stuff.'

'What about a seducing spell? I caught a couple of those guards checking Seraphina out.'Mira giggled and sent a secret glance to Seraphina. She covered it up by saying, "Remember that time you dressed up as a princess for Halloween and set the dress your grandma made for you on fire?"

We all laughed again."She was pretty mad at me."Sera nodded.

'I could do that.'Suzy glanced at me.

'Do it. As soon as they come to get you for the wedding, seduce a couple of the guys and while they are like that, have the guys take care of them. Then get as far as you can before using the distracting spell. I can guarantee that most of the guards will be at the wedding. There will probably only be like seven for you guys. It will take them a while to realize that no one has shown up. Use that time to find an exit. Make sure you check the guards for keys or maps or anything.'I felt my eyes tear up as I told them how to escape.
