"Amber? There is someone waiting outside for you." Dad knocked on my door just as I slipped my shoe on. I looked out my window and saw Mira chilling in the front seat of a cherry red convertible. She has her hair down and she was wearing the same clothes that she wore to the beach. A red tank top and a black mini skirt. Her lips were the same color as her car and her boyfriend was sitting next to her.

"I'm coming!" I called. I opened the door and raced down the stairs with my bag over my shoulder. I ran to the car and was greeted by their friendly smiles."Hey." I said. I opened the back door and got in."Nice car." I buckled my seat belt and she began driving.

"Thanks. It's my moms though. My parents won't get me a car. They say I should walk. It saves the Earth." She smiled at me in her rear-view mirror."Amber, meet my boyfriend Blake."

I was off by a letter. So what.

"Hi, nice to meet you." I waved as he turned to greet me.

"I finally get to meet the Amber everyone has been talking about. Jake wouldn't let me talk to you any other time. Now, though, he-" Before Blake could finish, Mira slapped him in the arm and sent him a look that said, Don't-say-it. Mira was intimidating enough without it, so Blake obeyed and I was left in the back of the car wondering what everyone had been talking about.

We continued driving for about ten more minutes and we came to roads that I wasn't familiar with. Mira pulled into a driveway that led to a humongous house. The entire house was white, windows had raspberry-colored shutters, and the door was the same. It even had four big, marble pillars in the front. This house looked huge.

"Welcome to the Burming household." Mira said as we all got out of the car and walked inside. The interior matched the outside perfectly. Marble floors, creamy walls, and raspberry red furniture was set about perfectly.

"Oh my gosh." I said.

"I wish I had a house like yours, though. It must be a lot easier to hang out with your family. It seems like the perfect house for a small family. My parents are always out on business trips or something stupid."

Mira led us into the kitchen and pulled three tubs of ice cream from the freezer. French Vanilla, Cookie Dough & Chocolate Chip, and Banana Split. All of my favorites.I just didn't like the nuts that were in the Banana Split.

"I wish it was that easy. My dad is always out on a case. I usually have to spend the week at Jakes house. Other than that I only stay at my house with my dad at least... three to five times a month." I shrugged.

"I know how it feels." She patted my head and smiled."What flavor?"

"I'll take Cookie Dough." I said.

"French Vanilla." Blake grabbed a spoon and took the entire tub.

"Hey!" Mira slapped his arm. "What if I wanted some of that?" She said.

"Well, do you?" Blake stopped.

"No."

"Then I'm taking it." Then, Blake left the room with the tb of ice cream and a big spoon. Mira rolled her eyes."Sometimes I question that boy..."She muttered.

I laughed at how the two of them.

"Want to play truth or dare? Or just dare since nobody goes for truth anymore?" Mira asked as she sat down her third bowl of ice cream. Blake had left an hour ago and so the two of us were sitting on her red bed in her gorgeous room.

"Sure. Either one I guess." I shrugged.

"Truth or dare?"

"Truth." I said boldly.
