A/N: I AM SUPER DUPER EXCITED FOR THIS CHAPTER! I am glad I planned a *SPECIAL* chapter every seven chapters because this is -in my opinion- a total table turner!
( try saying that three times fast, by the way)
As I sat in the booth, I tapped my fingers on the table. The noise they made got on my nerves but it was the only thing keeping me busy at the moment. Grace had to leave early for family business and so I was supposed to wait inside the diner until my ride came. Christopher and Henrey were supposed to pick me up. That ought to be a lovely ride.
They were late though. By whole half of an hour. I was about to die. It was getting dark and I was getting cold and hungry. I had to get home. Since it was nine o'clock, I decided that it wouldn't be too bad to walk home alone. It isn't like someone could kidnap me within a ten minute walk. Not really anyway, when I could still fight back using my telekinesis. I should be fine. Yeah, I could call someone to have them come pick me up, but no. My phone died while I was working and when the shop closes so does the wall phone.
I grabbed my jacket, the leather jacket that Devon had given me a while back, and then made sure everything was locked down once again. I was going to get in big trouble for this but it was better than sitting in a creepy old diner for a whole other hour completely alone in the cold and darkness.
As soon as the door was shut and I heard the lock click behind me, I began regretting my decision. It was even colder out here, I should've thought of that. Also, a chill creeped up my neck and made the hairs stand up. I clutched my jacket and started walking as fast as I could and seem not worried at the same time.
When I was standing in the same spot when Devon had first kissed me, I heard someone walking on the other side of the road. As soon as I looked up and noticed them, they started quickening their pace. It eventually turned into a run and I panicked. I was cornered. If I ran to my house, no one would be there and there were probably more people there waiting for me. If I turned back I would be running almost directly toward him.
Which is exactly why I decided to run straight into the dark and creepy woods.
I was glad that Clara taught me how to be a fast runner and everything that came with it. I sprinted into the woods and began leaping to avoid the undergrowth as we went into them deeper and deeper. The man wouldn't stop chasing me, though.
I began to panic. There was no way of contacting somebody now. When I thought he was far enough behind me, I spotted a tree with a hole in the trunk. I got in it and hid. I used my hand to cover my mouth so that he wouldn't hear my heavy breathing.
Feet hit the ground and then some appeared into view. The man was out of breath as well and he walked around for a while. He knew I couldn't have gone far. There was likely a field up ahead. If we hadn't somehow turned a different direction. He continued to walk around and I began panicking even more than before. He seemed to have left but I didn't dare let my breath out.
After ten minutes of nothing, I decided to breathe. Bad idea.
As soon as I did, hands wrapped around my waist and pulled me out from my hiding place. I screamed as he tried to cover my mouth up. I brought my knee up and into his manhood area and he bent down. That is when I gave him an uppercut. I thought he would go down but I guess he grabbed something other than his area when I kneed him.
The pain was unbearable when it struck me. The daggers hit was right in my stomach. I grabbed at it and tried to pull it out but it was too painful to. The man punched me across the face and kicked me down a hill. Everything was blurry after that.
My last thought was, He wasn't supposed to kill me, just supposed to capture me... now he will be in trouble and I will be dead.
