I chuckled and yawned."Seems kind of possessive, doesn't it?" I smiled.
"Don't I have a reason to be?" Jake looked down at me and caught my gaze.
Have I ever told you how amazingly beautiful his eyes are? His eyes change colors depending on the day, and today his eyes were beautiful. Today, they were a green-blue color that reminded me of the ocean. Normally they were just a solid brown or a pale blue. Today, they were bright and full of life. I sat there staring at him for a moment when I realized that Mira and Blake were watching us. I cleared my throat and stood up.
"I'm getting hungry. Anyone want something?" I asked.
"I'll take some eggs if you have any." Blake said. Mira rolled her eyes.
"We ate before we came, Amber. We'll be fine." She stood up and stretched."I actually think that I might get going. I have a lot to do today." She winked at me as Blake followed her every movement."Want to come, Blake?"
"Huh?" He didn't look up from her lips."Oh yeah, sure. Wait, what?"
"I have to get going. Want to come.with me?" She held his chin so he would have to look straight into her eyes.
"Mmhm." He smiled and they left.
"Want anything to eat, Jake?" I asked. He shrugged. His eyes had dark circles around them and he seemed kind of out of it.
"Are you tired?" I smiled.
"Just a little bit. Want to watch a movie?" After you eat and everything?" He asked.
"Sure."
I ate and then we sat down to watch a movie. We watched Journey To the Center of the Earth. I sat next to him with a blanket tightly wrapped around me. Halfway through the movie, I felt my eyelids drooping and I leaned against Jake. I remember one last thing, a pair of soft lips kiss my cheek.
* * *
I moaned.
I was so comfy and warm. There was a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist and my head was rested on Jakes chest. The blanket covered us as we lay on the couch. Jake was asleep and I was afraid that if I moved I might wake him up. It was ten thirty. So I just sat there until I fell asleep again.
My blissful sleep was ruined by my father though about thirty minutes later.
"Amber?" Dad asked.
"Hm?" I said with my eyes still closed.
"Why are you and Jake here?" I heard him ask.
I grew more annoyed and turned over so that my back was against Jakes chest and I could see my father.
"Last night I came here because Jake was being a butt head and then he, Mira, and Blake came over. They left and Jake stayed with me to watch a movie." I mumbled and smiled at how good it felt to be in Jakes arms.
"Who's jacket is this?"
"Mine..." I smiled again.
"Where did you get it?"
"Devon gave it to me when he stopped by to apologize." My mind was only half awake so I didn't know what I was saying.
"Apologize for what?"
"Walking me here, kissing me, and then me seeing him change into his wolf form..." I scooted closer to Jake.
"Wolf form?"
"Mmhm. You know. Werewolf. Like Jake and Henrey and Mira and Blake." I said.
"What else do you know?" Dads voice shook a little.
