The rest of the week and the weekend passed with nothing eventful. At pag sinabi kong nothing eventful, I mean the no-named-guy never showed up at Cafe Verde.

Inaraw-araw ko pa din yung punta ko don. And even on the weekend when my family came down to visit.

"Ate has a boyfriend... ate has a boyfriend," paulit-ulit na kinakanta ng napakasutil kong kapatid.

"Shut up, Miko!" I said while I grabbed my cappuccino  and took a couple of sip, then nagpaalam na din agad ako kila Mama.

"I'll be back in two hours, Ma. I'll just jog around UP, promise po I'll be quick!" Then I kissed her and Papa on cheeks. "Love you two po!"

"Ate's lying Ma, Pa. I'm pretty sure she'll meet up with her boyfriend po. I heard her talking to someone last night. Yie ate's in love! Ate's in love!"

"And I hate you too, lil bro." Sabi ko sa kanya habang ginulo yung buhok nya. "That was my co-teacher I was talking to last night... you're so nosy and malicious po. You know that?"

"Hmm, Mika Aereen... may kailangan ba kaming malaman?" Sabi ni Papa.

Miko naman kasi imbis na nakakaalis na 'ko.

"Meron ba, Potch?" That was Mama.

Eh hindi ko nga po alam yung pangalan eh... wait what? Ha? Anong sabi ko?

"Ma, Pa, Miko... wala, okay? Aalis na nga 'ko. Ang aga-aga hot seat nyo agad ako." 

"Bakit kasi ayaw mo 'ko isama?" Tanong ni Miko.

"Ano k-kasi, yung ano..." Think a palusot, Mika. Think. "M-mahirap, I mean, iba yung weather dito tuwing 6AM compared sa New Jersey, hindi ka sanay. You'll end up looking like an overripe tomato after you jog here."

Kinuha ko na yung susi ng kotse ko kasi gustong-gusto ko na talaga makalabas ng condo ko.

"Jogging? Kotse?" Dad said.

"Paano?!" Mom commented.

Miko laughed.

I rolled my eyes. "Bahala na nga kayo dyan."

Tumakbo na 'ko palabas. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag when I reached the elevator.
