"Ma naman! Hindi ko na naman kailangan to eh. I have a laptop already." I said in exasperation as I looked at the box that holds my new laptop.

I'm not gonna lie, I've been eyeing for a MacBook Pro for over a month now but I said I already have a MacBook, so why waste money on buying a new one?

But Mama here, bought me one! It does look so sleek and high-tech and it must have cost her a lot of money, which is yun yung ayaw ko.

"I know, but what you have is an old one na. This one is the latest." I have to roll my eyes on her. "Okay sige, ganito na lang. You can use the old one for school, since siguro nandun yung mga files mo and then use this one for personal things." She explained. "Plus, I have one too! Though this is 13 inches lang. But see we can do skype here rather than facetime. Mas convenient diba? Tapos para mas kita mo ang pretty face ng Mama mo."

I just shook my head and let out a small laugh. Si Mama talaga.

They got me a lot of things. Like clothes, lotions, perfumes, shoes, money.

It's a typical Christmas for me and my brother when they would spoil us to death.

Last Christmas naalala ko, sobrang dami talaga nilang binigay for me, nagkanda-over baggage ako sa airport pauwi. Medyo na-sprak ako non kila Mama. This year, pinabayaan ko na lang.

After hearing Kiefer's heartbreaking story about his parents, it definitely made me appreciate mine more.

Sometimes I complained about their overbearing tendencies, but they are my parents and I love them. And I know they love me in their own special way as well.

"Sabi ko naman sayo Bhaby, wag na yan eh." Papa said.

"Sabi ko naman sayo Mama akin na lang eh." Miko said and we all laughed.

Papa sat down on his recliner, that's his spot dito sa bahay namin sa New Jersey.

We're opening each other's presents on Christmas morning before we have to go to my Tita's house and deal with the rest of our family friends here for Christmas day.

I am excited to see everyone, but it is not the same.

I'm missing Kiefer and Kierra.

It is really sad, I feel a little weird not getting to spend our first Christmas as a couple, together. But we have many Christmases together pa naman diba?

Though it would have been nice sana to see Kierra's face when she opened her gifts from Kiefer and 'Santa.' Yes, Kiefer knows how to make Kierra's childhood exciting.

I'm waiting for Kiefer to iMessage me. It's really early in the morning here, 6AM to be exact because kailangan namin umalis by 7:30 and I bet Kiefer is busy cooking for their Christmas dinner right now because it's 6 in the evening there.

"Okay na nga... sige na, thank you Mama." I said and hugged her. "Pero seryoso, you shouldn't have."

"Pambawi na kasi ni Mama yan sayo, Potch. Pagbigyan mo na, okay?" She said and kissed me on the cheeks.

"Yuck." My brother said in a hush tone.

"Anong yuck? Yuck na ba ang kiss ko, bunso?" Mama told Miko. "Nako halika dito... alam ko naman na you're just envy 'cause I gave your Ate a kiss." She said while she went over to Miko and kissed the hell out of him.
