My dreams woke me up.

It was Kiefer and he was in pain. He was screaming and hurting... and there is nothing I can do about it.

He is slowly getting eaten by the darkness and I want to reach for him but he's not reaching out for me. "Kiefer!" And then he's gone.

It woke me up.

As soon as I was conscious enough to realize that it was just a bad dream, I realized I am lying on a bed. Not my bed.

Nasaan ako?

I opened my eyes and everything came back rushing. I got up. Nandito pa din pala ako sa room ni Kiefer and I'm alone.

There's a blanket around me but I don't remember getting up from the ground last night though.

Nasaan sya?

I get off the bed and looked around. The room is still the same as last night except I didn't wake up to the warm body beside me.

Medyo madilim pa. Hindi ako sure kung anong oras na but I'm sure umaga na.

I walked out of the room. The unit is silent. I went to the kitchen. The time on the stove says it's 06:10. I don't think anyone is in the house.

Lumabas ako and pumunta sa unit ni Ate Denise. I knocked on her door.

She answered almost right away.

"Good morning, Ate. Si... si Kiefer?"

"Morning, Miks. He's here. Come on inside."

I went it. "Is he okay na? Hindi nya ko ginising eh. And I'm sorry Ate, I meant to leave but... I don't know, I just fell asleep."

"It's fine, Mikskie. But I don't know if okay na sya eh. He didn't say a word to me. Pinuntahan nya agad si Mimi."

"Pwede ko ba syang hintayin?"

"Oo naman. Upo ka muna dyan." She said.

I could hear Kiefer and Kierra from here. Maybe they're in the kitchen. Kierra is crying and Kiefer is saying soothing words to her.

I couldn't hear his exact words but I could hear its calmness. It's nice to hear that he is not yelling anymore. This is Kiefer's voice.

"Do you want something to drink or eat, Mikskie?" Ate asked. She sounds tired. I wondered if she even slept.

"Hindi okay lang, Ate. Thank you." She nodded and went somewhere. She's probably just doing anything to keep herself busy.
