Kinakabahan ako.

Nice, Bianca, and I are all around my kitchen table doing whatnots. I haven't told them that Kiefer is coming over. Hell, I haven't told them I have a boyfriend for almost a month.

Kiefer texted me and said he would be here at 5:30. It's 5:03.

Nice had her earphones on and is typing away on her laptop. Bianca had her glasses on and reading one of my rarely used recipe book. While I, on the other hand, have my iPad with me and pretending that I'm using it.

I am freaking out.

"Uhm guys?" I said.

My voice cracked. I cleared it.

They both looked up at me.

"Yes bhie?" Nice said.

"You aren't pregnant, are you?" Bianca asked.

"Ano? Hindi no! Of course not."

"Eh bakit kasi you look so tense?" Nice asked.

"I... ano... I have... I have a boyfriend." I said with a pahina ng pahinang voice.

Both of them gasped at the same time and Nice is the first to squeal and get up from her chair.

"Finally, bhie!"

"And at last you've seen the light, Miks!" Bianca said with a chuckle.

They both bring their chairs closer to me. I am expecting this.

"Thanks, bhies. Well, he's pretty great."

"Whoa! Biancs, do you see her face? Yung mata, may tilamsik! Who's this guy ha? You look so in love!"

Am I really that transparent? "Well, yes. I guess you could say that..."

"So teka lang, ganong katagal mo ng dine-date tong guy na to? Why didn't you tell us agad about him?" Nice asked.

"About a month ago, pero we've been friends even before that. I don't know, I guess I just want to make sure first na we wouldn't have broken up in the first week or something." That isn't the truth at all.

"That makes sense." Bianca said.

"What's his name? What does he look like? Is he cute? Kailan namin sya mamee-meet?" Nice asked firing off questions in quick succession.

"Uhh, his name is Kiefer, and I think he is cute." Well I thought he is more than cute, but I don't want to get too overboard. "Alam nyo na itsura nya. Familiar na sya sa inyo and you'll get to meet him today."

"Wait, familiar na sya samin? So kilala na namin sya?" Nice asked.

"We don't know anyone named Kiefer though." Bianca added.

"I know. Uhm... he's that guy at Café Verde. You know the one who always sits by himself?"

Their reactions are much like I expected. They both sat there with their jaws dropped in absolute shock.

"You mean that guy? Seryoso ka ba? You are dating that crazy guy at the coffee shop? Are you kidding?" Nice asked

It still shocks me how little people know about Kiefer.
