The Challenge

Chapter 56

"Val!" Rox exclaims and hugs her. "Thank Merlin you're okay!"
Valerie smiles at her. "Yeah. Thanks to Sapphire," she looks at me and smiles brightly.
I smile back, "it's good to have you back."
"It's good to have my girlfriend back." Fred says and kisses Val's forehead.
"Watch it Weasley." Andrew warns him.
Val laughs, "I can't wait to get out of here. I hate the hospital wing."
"Well Madam Pomfry said you can leave whenever you're ready." Kaitlin says.
"Then why the hell am I still here?" Val stands up. "I need a shower and lots of food."
"I'll go to the kitchens and get some food." Fred says, "we all can eat out by the Black Lake."
Val grins, "sounds like a plan!"
"I'll help you." James says to Fred. Andrew says he will help as well.
Val and I go to the Slytherin Common room and up to our dorm. She goes to the bathroom to take a shower. I lay down on my bed and rub my stomach. I can't wait to get these two babies out of me. I still had about four more months. I was getting pretty big as well.
What will happen after graduation? I know I'm staying with the Weasleys, but I don't think George, Angelina, Fred and Roxanne will let me do much at the WWW. I have to find a house for myself. A house with lots of space. A house with a pretty view. A house with a garden. A house with a big backyard. I am determine to give my kids the lives they deserve.
Soon, Val comes out of them bathroom. She looks at me and smiles. "You're getting huge. You bloody whale."
I laugh, "I feel like I'll fall over soon. My feet and back are killing me. You have no idea."
"Your back?" She asks, "you're getting old."
"So I cure you and you thank me by insulting me." I shoot her a playful glare and stand up.
"It's how I show my love." She smiles sweetly.
"Then I fear for Fred." I laugh and stand up. "Shall we go to the lake now?"
She nods, "let's go. I'm starving! Forty eight hours being in a deep sleep starves you half to death."
"Don't be so dramatic." I roll my eyes and link arms with her.
"So, how are you and James?" Val questions. "Anything happen while I was out?"
I bite the inside of my cheek. "Actually yes."
Val grins like a madman. "What happened?! Tell me! Now!" She demands.
I laugh, "I'll tell you when we get to the lake."
"Then hurry up woman!" Val pulls me and starts to walk faster.
"Valerie!" I whine, "slow down. I can't walk that fast."
"Stupid pregnancy." She groans.
We finally make it the the Black Lake. Valerie, Fred, Kaitlin, Andrew, Roxanne, James, Justin, Julisa, Albus, Rose, Lily Hugo, and I sit in a circle with food in the center. I grab a strawberry and eat it.
Val looks at me. "Okay, we're here. Now tell me!"
"Tell her what?" Albus asks me.
"Sapphire told me something happened between her and James." Val says.
James, who is sitting next to me, smirks. "Really? Why don't you tell them what happened Sapph." He watches me, waiting for me to speak.
"James punched me in the stomach." I tell everyone.
James rolls his eyes. Before he can say anything, Lily speaks up. "Liar. James wouldn't do that. He loves you."
I roll my eyes. "He's an idiot who has one of the biggest heads in the castle."
James snorts. "That's not what you said earlier."
Fred smirks. "What did she say?"
"If I remember correctly," James smirks at me. Oh here we go. "She said that she would be lost without me and that she wished she realized that she loves me sooner."
I scoff, "you bloody liar. I never said that!" But I have thought about it before.
James laughs, "no. You said, 'you don't know how thankful I am to have someone like you in my life.'" I roll my eyes and look down.
"Aw!" Rox grins. "That's so cute."
"Anyway," I grab another strawberry and eat it. "It's pretty hot out here."
"ARE YOU DATING?!" Rose ask impatiently.
I don't say anything. I just glance over at James and eat another strawberry. James smirks at everyone. "Sapphire finally came to her senses and agreed to be mine."
"OH MY MERLIN!" Almost everyone screams.
I flinch and feel my face heat up. Why do I feel so embarrass? This never happens when I'm with someone. "She's blushing!" Fred laughs at me.
I glare at him. "Shut up Fredrick."
James kisses my cheek, this makes me blush harder. "Aw. You're so cute Sapph."
I push him away and glare at him. "Knock it off Potter."
He just smiles, "aw. I love you too Sapph."
"You guys are so cute!" Lily squeals in delight.
"You know, I just realized that this may be the very last day we all will be able to sit here together like this." Justin says.
Fred smiles sadly. "Way to kill the mood Justin."
"I'm going to miss it here." James says. "Hogwarts is our home."
"It's where we grew up and become who we are." I say as I look at Fred, "it's where we found the people we truly care about."
"Dawwww!" Fred gushes, "you've gone soft this year Gem."
I laugh and shake my head. "I know. I hate it." I glare at James, "you did this to me."
James chuckles, "I'm not going to say sorry. I like how soft you're becoming."
"Oh just wait. Once I get these out of me," I put my hands on my stomach. "I will go back to being a tough son of a bitch."
"You mean daughter of a bitch." Kaitlin jokes.
"That too." I say.
"It's okay, Sapph. We all know that you're actually a really soft person underneath all that stubbornness." James smiled and kisses my cheek.
"Who knew James and Sapphire would end up together," Hugo laughs.
I roll my eyes, "I need to pee."
"For the thousandth time." James says.
"Yes because these two babies keep pressing themselves against my bladder." I stand up and walk to the castle. I go the girls' washroom and did my business in a stall. I walk out and see Myrtle floating by. "Hello Myrtle."
"Hello Sapphire," she floats down and smiles a little. "You are getting bigger."
I laugh and wash my hands. "I know. I can't wait to get them out."
"Then they will go to Hogwarts and will be my new friends." Myrtle says.
I nod, "of course." I smile at her, "I'm going to miss you." I say goodbye to her and leave the washroom.
I walk back to the Black Lake, but I'm stopped by Tom. I glare at him. "What the hell do you want?"
"I fucking told you to get rid of those!" Tom points at my stomach. "Or do I have to do it myself?"
"I fucking told you that I'm not letting you hurt my family!" I growl. "Now get out of my way." I lush past him only to get grabbed by his strong hand.
"Don't think I'm done with you." He hisses and lets go of me.
"How about you go fuck yourself?" I smile sweetly and go to the Black Lake. I sit down next to James and lay back.
James looks at me. "You okay?"
I nod, "I'm amazing." I look at the sky and sigh. "I'm just going to miss it here." Everyone continues to talk about random things while I lay on the cool grass.
In a few days I'll be graduating. In a few days I'll be leaving Hogwarts. In a few days I'll be living with Fred. In a few weeks I'll be a mom.
It's scary how so much can change in a small amount of time.
