I walk out of the fire place. I walk into the kitchen to see all of the adults except Ron. "I made cinnamon rolls." I announce and place the large container on the counter.
George's face lights up, "yes!" He looked like he was about to pounce on it, but Ginny stops him.
"Calm down, George." Ginny rolls her eyes. "Stop acting like a child."
"But it's cinnamon rolls!" George exclaims, "Sapphire's cinnamon rolls are the best!"
I laugh, "thanks George."
Hermione was about to go get everyone. When Ron walks in, "um. Sapphire. Your parents are in the living room."
I look at him in shock, "what?" I walk into the living room and sure enough, both of my parents are standing there. "What are you doing here?"
"Why didn't you come home for Christmas yesterday?" Mom questions.
"Because I was spending it with the Weasleys and Potters." I reply.
"You could have visit for an hour or so. Even for dinner," mom says.
"I went to Tom's house for dinner."
"Tom?" Dad questions. "Who's Tom?"
"My boyfriend." I say in annoyance, "you know. The guy I've been dating for a year now. You've met him a couple times before."
"I don't remember a Tom." Dad says.
I roll my eyes, "of course not because you guys pay no attention to me what so ever."
"What do you mean?" Mom asks, clearly shocked.
"What do I mean?" I cross my arms over my chest. "Hm, let me see. For starters, you never talk to me unless you're either one, yelling at me or two, trying to scold me or try to change who I am. That goes for you, mother. You're always trying to change me. I am who I am. I'm not going to change because I'm not girly enough or not lady like."
"I'm trying to help you," mom says. "I'm doing what's best for you."
I snort, "what's best for me? Or what's best for you? I am not lady like, I don't proper manners. I don't like skirts, dresses, heels, or make up. I'm sorry that I'm not the girly girl daughter you wanted. I hate it when you try to force that onto me!"
"Do not raise your voice towards your mother." Dad orders.
"And you!" I exclaim, "you pay no attention to me! What happened to, 'you'll always be my little girl'? Ever since Scorpius turned 6, you've been paying more attention to him than me. The only time you actually talk to me is when you're lecturing about being good and not getting into any trouble! I bet you don't even know what position I play in quidditch."
Dad looks at me, "seeker."
I throw my hands up, "see! This is what I am talking about! Scorpius plays seeker. I'm a beater."
"Beater?" Mom asks, "girls shouldn't be playing quidditch as a beater."
I glare at her, "I love playing beater. Here's another question. When's my birthday?"
"February 12th." Dad answers.
"That's Scorpius' birthday!" I exclaim, "what kind of parents are you?! You don't even know when your first child was born! You know nothing about me! I've done so many good things and all you do is pick at the bad!"
"We pick at the bad because we don't want you to repeat the same mistake." Mom says.
"Parents are supposed to accept their child for who they are! Not change them to something they aren't! Look at Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, George, and Angelina. They love their kids and support them one hundred percent! Why can't you guys be like that?" I question, "you guys are never there for me! You always help out Scorpius. It's always Scorpius this, Scorpius that. 'Why can't you be more like Scorpius?' It's so annoying and frustrating when you compare me with Scorpius! It's like I'm the unwanted child and Scorpius is the child you've always wanted!"
