The Challenge

Chapter 61

I get dress into a ripped pair of jeggings, gray over sized sweater and a pair of white boots. I put on the necklace James gave me and a bracelet.
I go to the living room and sit next to Roxanne. "My back hurts," I while.
"Old lady." Rox laughs.
I playfully push her, "shut up."
Once everyone is ready, we use the floo network to get to the Potter mansion.
I smile and go to the living room to see James, Albus, and Hugo messing around with some kind of muggle device that was connected somehow to the television. I lean against the wall and smile at them.
Fred and Rox walks in. "We're here!" Rox smiles happily, "your dull lives just got better!"
James looks at me and smiles widely, "hey Sapph." I walk over and sit down on the couch James is sitting at. He kisses my cheek and returns his attention to the television.
"When does this party start?" Rox asks.
"When people start showing up," Albus replies not taking his eyes off the screen.
"Thank you Albus." Rox hit the back of his head with a throw pillow.
"Roxanne!" He growls as he shoots someone in the game he was playing. There's an explosion and he groans in frustration.
James cheers, "ha!" He gives Hugo a high five.
"Damn it Roxanne!" Albus glares at her. She just smiles at him.
"Albus Severus Potter!" Ginny scolds him as she walks in holding a couple small boxes.
Albus smiles sheepishly. "Hi mum."
Ginny sighs and shakes her head. "You need to stop using foul language. At least when I'm around."
George snorts, "says the one who throws foul words all the time."
Ginny gives him a look Molly would be proud of. "Anyway, James, Fred, Sapphire, we have gifts for you."
I smile widely, "is it chocolate?" James rolls his eyes at me.
Harry tosses a small box of chocolates to me. "Here you go Sapphire."
I squeal in delight, "yay!"
Hugo looks at me weirdly. "Did you just squeal?"
"Shush up you," I say with a small smile. I open the box and toss a piece of chocolate in my mouth.
"So what's our present?" Fred asks as he tries to take one of my chocolates. I slap his hand away and hiss.
Ginny passes out the gifts. "It's from all of us."
I rip the silver wrapping paper off. It's a rectangular box with the word 'iPhone' on it. I examine the box in confusion.
"You got us iPhones?!" James exclaims in shock. He pulls out a rectangular device and the screen lights up. I look back at the box and open it. I take out the device and study it. I press the circular button, nothing happens. James takes the device from me and presses a button at the top of the device. The screen lights up. An apple appears, but with a bite taken out of it. "It's a phone."
"Why is there an 'i' in front of it?" I question.
"It's just a name muggles gave it," Fred says as he smiles at his phone.
"Take care of these." Ginny says, "I've already put in our numbers. It will help you keep touch with one another and to us."
James hugs his mom, "thanks mum!" He starts to tap on the screen of his phone.
I look at mine. The bottom of the screen had an arrow that says 'slide to unlock'. I touch the screen and swipe to the right. Square boxes fills the screen. "Exactly how do you use this?"
"Don't worry love." James takes my phone. "I'll teach you." I watch him as he takes a picture of himself and taps on the screen. He then shows me what he did. It says 'my husband' then a picture of James and a bunch of numbers.
I give him a look, "'my husband'? Really James?"
He smiles and kisses my nose. "I will be. Soon enough."
I roll my eyes, "whatever you say."
He holds his phone up, "smile Sapph." I hold up my middle finger and I hear a click. "Oh my wonderful girlfriend flipping me off."
James, Fred and I mess around with our new iPhones until guests start showing up.
Val, Andrew, Kaitlin and their parents show up. Fred runs over to Val and smiles widely. "Hello Love." He kisses her. Mister Winters clears his throat.
Val looks at her parents. "Mike, Lola, this is Fred. Fred, these are my parents."
Fred shakes hands with Mike. "Nice to finally meet you sir." Fred says. Even though Mike and Lola are Val's adoptive parents, they care so much about her and Andrew.
Lola hugs Fred, "you are so handsome!"
Fred turns red. Val glares at her, "mum."
Roxanne ran over, "mine!" She grabs Val and takes her away.
I decide to do the same thing, "mine!" I grab Fred and pull him away. I smirk at him, "so. How was it? Meeting Valerie's parents?"
"It went better than I thought." Fred replies. "Although I didn't get a chance to actually talk to them." I just smile at him.
Andrew walks over and smiles at me. "Hello old lady."
I narrow my eyes at him. "You're the second person to call me that today."
"Must be true then," he laughs.
"Sapphire!" I hear Ginny call out. "James! Come here please!"
"Have fun meeting everyone." Fred laughs. "No. Have fun meeting all of the Weasleys."
I roll my eyes and go to Ginny and Harry. "What's up?" James asks.
Molly pulls James into a bone crushing hug, "I'm so proud of you! You're growing up too fast!"
"Grandma Molly," James groans.
Molly then pulls me into a hug. "Sapphire! You're getting so big!" She pulls away and places her hands on my stomach. "My. You're almost there!"
I laugh a little. "Good to see you Molly."
She wipes her tears away. "I'm going to be a great grandmother!"
I look at James to see a huge smile on his face. I roll my eyes, "don't you dare say anything."
James sighs dramatically. "Sapphire! My wife!" I just walk away and go to the food. "Baby come back!" I hear James cry out. "Ow! Mum!"
I laugh to myself. "Serves you right." I grab some food and start to eat.
"Hey Sapphire."
I look up to see Max. I smile at him. "Hey Max! You came." I give him a hug.
"Of course I did," he smiles. "I see you've gotten comfortable by the food."
I roll my eyes, "shut it you. I have to feed two other people." He laughs, "I know." He gets some food as well and we sit down at a table. We talk about random things and laugh at each other's lame jokes.
Roxanne comes over with Andrew, Valerie and Fred. "Max," Rox smiles. "You came."
Max nods, "yes I did. Even if I didn't want to, my father would force me to come."
Rox laughs, "I think he fancies Hermione a little."
"Well, they did have a thing." Fred says.
"Nevertheless, they are both married." Max chuckles. "Anyway, I want more punch. Anyone else?"
"Me please." I hand him my empty cup. Max smiles at me and walks off.
"Max fancies you," Rox says suddenly.
I glare at her. "He does not."
Fred smirks, "I told you he fancies you."
"Does he know you're with James?" Andrew asks.
I shook my head. "No, someone decided to tell him I was free." I look at Fred and glare at him.
"Oh come on!" Fred exclaims, "I thought it would be funny."
Val rolls her eyes. "You can be so childish sometimes."
"Oh but you love me." Fred kisses her cheek.
Max comes back with our drinks. "Thank you." I say as I drank some punch. I feel something vibrate and I jump. I look down to see that it was my iPhone. I pull it out of my pocket and look at it.
Fred barks up a laugh. "Your phone scared you!"
"Shut up Fred." I roll my eyes. I swipe my screen to see a message from James or 'my husband'. It reads; come to the backyard. My mum wants you to meet some people and take pictures.
I sigh and put my phone into my pocket. "I'll be back. Ginny wants me to meet some people."
"Have fun with that." Rox laughs.
I stick my tongue out at her and go outside. I find James with his parent and a few other red heads. Merlin. There are more gingers here. I walk over to James, "it's like a ginger Apocalypse."
James laughs, "this isn't even half of it."
Ginny smiles, "Sapphire this is Aunt Mural and her grand kids Alice and Liam."
I smile at them, "pleasure to meet you."
Mural grabs my face and studies me closely, "you are very pretty." She looks at James, "how dare you impregnate her so young! You're going to ruin her tiny body!"
I look at James, he has a small smirk on his face. "James-"
He cuts me off, "I couldn't help myself. She's just so beautiful and I love her."
"You're too young to have children!" Mural says, "you're not married yet!"
"Not yet." James smiles, "and so what if we're a bit young? We can raise a child together. We will raise a child together. Two actually." I bite the inside of my cheek trying not to smile.
Alice laughs at him, "when did you turn into such a sob?"
James playfully rolls his eyes at her. "Shut it, Alice."
"How can a Slytherin be so beautiful and charming?" Mural continues to gush over me, "a Malfoy as well!" I'm starting to feel uncomfortable.
Ginny sighs, "alright Aunt Mural. Why don't we go get some food and chat with the others?" Thank you Ginny. Ginny leaves with Mural.
Harry looks at me and smiles sheepishly. "Sorry about her."
I shake my head, "it's okay."
"Well, have fun you four." Harry smiles and walks off.
Liam smirks at James, "so James. Have you told your girlfriend about the phase you went through when you were six?"
James glares at him, "Liam!"
I smile. "What phase?"
"Nothing!" James says, "come on. Let's go get some food." He pulls at my arm, but I shake him off.
"Tell me about this phase." I grin.
"James used to dress up in his mum's clothes." Liam tells me.
"Liam!" James growls.
I grin, "aw! That's so cute!" I look at James and he glares at me.
"I hat you." James says to Liam. "I also hate you." He looks at Alice. "And I hate you." James glares at me again and walks off.
I laugh at him, "are there any more phases James went through?"
Alice nods, "actually he did go through one other phase." She smiles a little, "he went through this punk rock type of phase."
My eyes widen, "are you serious?"
Liam nods, "I have a photo actually." He pulls out a muggle device that looks like my phone. "It was about two years ago." He shows me a picture of James wearing all black. His hair was spiked. He had a lip ring and black eye liner. He wore a choker as well.
"Bloody hell this is gold!" I howl in laughter, "can you please give me a copy of this?"
Liam nods, "yeah. Just give m your number and I'll send it to you."
I give him the weirdest look, "my number?"
Alice laughs a little. "Do you have a phone?" I nod and hand her my phone. She types on it a little and hands it back to me. "I put our number in it so we can talk sometime."
"I just sent you a message with the picture." Liam says. I look at my phone to see the picture, I smile at him.
James comes back over, "come on." He grabs my hand and pulls me away.
I wave at Alice and Liam. "Bye!"
James takes me to Fred, Val, Andrew, Rox, Val, and Max. "Hey Max," James says.
Max smiles at him, "hey."
We spend the rest of the day talking and messing around. I meet a few more of James's relatives. So many of them asked me questions about my baby. They all told me how happy they were that I'm with James. I actually feel a bit overwhelmed. There are so many people here. I need to go somewhere quiet.
I go to the front yard and sit on the porch. I run my ran through my hair and take in the fresh air.
"Hey, why are you all alone?"
I look up to see Max. "I needed some air." I tell him as I pat the spot next to me.
Max sits down next to me. "I understand. There are a lot of people in there."
I nod, "yeah."
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah." I smile at him, "it's just a bit overwhelming you know? Everyone taring at me, asking about my babies and all."
Max nods, "yeah. i can't imagine how hard it is." He looks at his lap, "anyway what do you like to do? In your free time?"
"Well, I like to read a little. But I usually prank people." I smile a little, "I was the best pranker at Hogwarts. Behind the Weasley twins of course."
"You won't prank me right?" He asks.
I smirk at him, "no. Not yet at least."
