Chapter 49

I am in the Slytherin common room with Val. I took the NEWT’s yesterday and I hope I did really good. I knew most of the answers and I took my time. So fingers crossed. Now that exams are over for the seventh years, we have two weeks of freedom. Results for our exams will be posted in five days. The rest of the castle are still studying for their exams. Graduation will be on the second to last day of term. I can’t believe I’m almost done here at Hogwarts.

I look at Val who’s currently reading her charms book. “Val. Val. Val. Val. Val. Val.”

She sighs and looks up at me. “What?”

“Hi.” I smile at her.

She rolls her eyes, “go find something to do or go find someone else to bother.”

I stick my tongue out at her. “Fine Miss Grumpy Pants.” Scorpius walks down from the dormitories and Val clears her throat. I give her a look and shake my head. Scorpius hates me, I can’t.

Val gives me a stern look and I give in. I follow Scorpius out of the common room. “Scorpius.” I called out.

“Go away, Sapphire.” Scorpius says coldly not bothering to look back at me.

I groan, “Scorpius please.” I follow him down a staircase. “Scorpius.

He stops and looks at me. “I told you to stay away from me. I don’t want anything to do with you, Sapphire.”

“Scorpius.” I beg. “Just hear me out.”

“No, Sapphire.” He growls. “I don’t want to hear it. I’m tired of you and your problems.”

“Scorpius.”

“Sapphire stop. How many times do I have to tell you? I’m done. I hate you.” Scorpius says. “Now stay away from me.” He glares at me and walked away. I sit down on the steps and sigh. I rest my head against the railing. Great. He says the same things over and over again but he never tells me what was really wrong. I run my hand through my hair and place my hand on my stomach.

“Oh look, the slut still has her baby.” The voice sends chills down my spine.

I look up to see Tom. I bit my lip, “wh-what are you doing here?”

He smirks at me. “My father got the school to let me back in so I can take my exams.”

I frown, “exams are over.”

“Well, me being suspended means I haven’t taken my exams.” Tom says. “So, you’ll be seeing more of me.”

I glare at him. “If you touch me I will murder you.”

He chuckles. “Still hot headed I see. Too bad you can’t fight me because of that little monster in you.”

“If anyone was a monster, it would be you.” I growl, “so leave before I push you down the stairs.”

Tom smirks at me. “I can easily push you down the stairs and it would probably get rid of that.” He looks at my stomach. I place my hands protectively over my stomach. He chuckles, “I’ll see you later Sapphire.” He pats my head and walks upstairs.

I get up and quickly go down the stairs. I go to the Black Lake and see Fred there with Noah. I walk over and sit down next to Fred. “Hey Gem.” He smiles.

Noah smiles at me, “hey.”

“Hey guys.” I smile at them. “What are you guys doing?”

“Messing around with a new product dad came up with.” Fred grins.

“That’s cool.” I look down at my lap. “Tom’s back.”

“What?” Fred asks quietly. “What did he say to you? Did he do anything?”
