Chapter 50

I walk into the Slytherin Common room to see Tom. He looks at me and smirks, "hi Sapphire."

I glare at him, "I want you to stay away from Valerie."

"You can't tell me what to do." Tom laughs, "I can do whatever I please."

"Why can't you mess with someone else's life?" I question.

Tom stands up. "Watch me mess all of your little friends' lives. Now, excuse me I have a date with your best friend." He winks and walks out of the common room. I follow him to the court yard. Val was there with Rox and Andrew. Tom walks over to them and starts snogging Val. Rox's face darkens. As well as Andrew's.

I watch Fred walk by and look at Val and Tom. He storms over and yanks Tom off of Val. "What the hell, Tom!" Val yells at Fred.

"I'm Fred!" Fred yells and shoves Tom back. "Fix the damn charm, Squallus!" Andrew looks at me with a questioning expression.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Tom." Tom smirks at Fred.

"Get away from us, Tom." Val pushes Fred away. Fred looks at her in shock and hurt. Andrew stares at Val in shock. I need to explain what's going on to him. "I swear, if you lay a finger on any of us." Val glances over at me. "I will hex you to oblivion."

"Val, it's me." Fred says quietly.

Val pushes him again. "Go away."

Tom snakes his arm around Val and smirks at Fred. "Yeah, Tom. Go away. I will murder you if you touch my girlfriend, sister or best friend."

"What the hell are you doing?" Andrew asks Val.

Fred punches Tom in the face. Rox, Andrew and I didn't do anything, but Val gasps. "What the hell, Tom!" She punches Fred in the face.

This time, Rox and I reacts the same way Val did when Fred punched Tom. "Val!" I exclaim and run over to Fred.

Val gives me a look. "What? Are you actually defending him?" She question. "You told me he pushed you down the steps!" Fred looks like he was going to cry. I am getting mad, so is Roxanne. Andrew looks really confuse but I think he might be catching on. I am about to explode on Tom but Fred stops me. "What the hell is going on?" Val exclaims, "why are you so close to Tom all of the sudden?"

Tom smirks at us. "What the hell, Sapphire. Tom hurt you and now you're defending him?"

I glare at Tom. "Screw you, Tom."

Val looks at me like I had fifty heads. "What is going on?"

Rox nudges me, "come on. You need to calm down."

"I will not calm down!" I exclaim. "She hit him! Tom is screwing all of us over!"

"Why the hell do you keep defending Tom?" Val questions. "You do remember what Tom did to you right?"

Tom looks at my stomach. "He ruined your life."

I ball my hands into fists. Fred pulls me back. "Just leave it." Val looks really confused and I feel so bad. She has no idea what's going on. Tom is messing with what she sees and it's not fair. I groan in frustration and walk out of the court yard. I accidentally run into Scorpius. Oh great. My day keeps better better and better. Scorpius kinda glares at me and walks away from me. I run my hand through my hair and start to make my way to the Black Lake.

I sit down under a tree. Honestly, I'm looking forward to graduation now. I can't wait to get away from Tom.

Roxanne passes me a book. "A revealing spell. It reveals anything that is hidden under a cloaking charm."

I study the page and remember that I've studied this spell before. "But it doesn't always work. It depends on how powerful the charm is." I remember Albus telling me about the time his dad was talking about his days at Hogwarts. Severus Snape used the revealing spell on the Marauders' map and it didn't work. The map has a very powerful charm on it. "I don't even know if it'll work on people."
