Sydney's POV:
After about an hour more at the pool I got bored so I went up to my room. I took a quick shower and changed. By now everybody had gotten in the pool. I'm currently the only one in the house. I decide to wander around and discover rooms and places in the house. I found a basement type area and went down the stairs. I reached the first platform and found me stairs. Then I reached the second and the lights were starting to get darker. I reached the fifth and it became pitch black, freaked out I ran back up the stairs and into the lounge. I stood back up and went back toward my room except I went down the left hallway. The left hallway had stairs leading up so I went up them. I reached a giant room, it had a stage, microphones, lights, a DJ turn table, and a dance floor. There's no doubt I'll be coming up here tonight. I walk back to my room and sit down on my bed. Eventually I fall asleep.
.*.*.*.*
"Sydney, wake up!" Lauren said shaking me slightly.
"What do you want" I ask tiredly.
"Pizzas here. " she says. I shoot up from my bed and run down the stairs. I make my way to the kitchen and grab some pizza. Everyone was eating in the lounge so I went outside. I sat by the lake and just gazed at the stars. I took out my phone and began texting my friends. I finished eating my slices of pizza and just laid down on the grass.
I stopped texting my friends and put a movie on my phone. After scrolling for hours I decide on Happy Feet simply because penguins are my favorite animal.
"So why aren't you inside?" Luke asked sitting next to me.
"I don't know, I guess I just thought the view was nicer out here. " I said going on my back so I could look up at him.
"Yeah. I guess. " he said sitting down next to me.
"Whatcha watchin?" He asked me looking at my screen.
"Happy feet. " I responded.
"Oh nice, mind if I join you?" He asked.
"No not at all. " I reply as he lies next to me.
"I think your friend Lauren has a thing for Calum. " Luke said nodding toward inside. It as obvious she was flirting with him.
"Yeah I guess. I mean before today we didn't even know you guys existed. No offense. " I say to him.
"No I get it." He said nodding.
"I'm sure I've heard you guys before on like pandora or something." I said.
"Yeah. If I'm being honest I think their relationship could actually work out if anything ever happened. Because she likes him for him and not his fame. " Luke said rolling onto his back.
"Yeah that's true, I don't get why you guys get used all the time for fame. I mean seriously you guys are good looking and genuine. It's kinda of hard not to fall for you. " I said rolling over onto my back as well.
"Whatcha tryna say there?" He asked me smiling.
"Nothing." I said laughing at myself.
"Sorry that whole statement I just said came out kind of wrong. " I say trying to fix what I said.
"No no I get it." Luke said sounding kind of sarcastic.
"Shut up. Why do I let you get to me? I mean seriously of all the guys it's you. " I said sitting up.
"I don't know why you're asking me that. It sounds more like a rhetorical question. " Luke says to me.
"Well duh. It was rhetorical genius. " I said laughing.
"Hey! Girls can be confusing. " Luke replies.
"Only when we're on it or pregnant. Otherwise we mean what we say. " I answer.
"Did not need to know that but thanks." Luke said.
"Oh do you know of any good trails around here? I wouldn't mind going for a walk or jog later on. " I ask him.
"Yeah I'll show you it later. It's down by the lake. " Luke replied.
"Hey Luke!" A girl from inside yelled running outside and over to him.
"Yeah? What is it?" Luke said standing up.
"Can you help me, you know get some drinks. You and I both know we wanna have fun tonight. And everyone else does to. " she says practically drooling over him.
"Yeah sure no problem. I'll show you where the drinks are." Luke said getting up and leaving me alone in the dark. Is it bad I'm jealous? Does that mean something? I mean he's really cute. And I'm single. And I'm not technically a fan. Plus like he said about Lauren I'm not in it for the fame, I think I just like him. Wait. No that's wrong. At least that's what I'm gonna tell myself.
