Chapter 19

Sydney's POV:
"Luke, what're you doing?" I asked as he pulled away and took off his shirt.

"Well, you've already gone swimming. Have I?" He said taking off his pants and walking toward the ocean.

"So you're gonna go swimming?" I said smirking.

"Yep. " he said walking into the water

"It's cold!" I said as he got deeper.

"No it's not!" He said turning around so I faced him.

"Come on! Don't be a wuss, join me!" He added. So I did as he said and joined him.

"Liar. This water is freezing. " I said as he took my hand.

"I know. " he said putting a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"But, I just wanna enjoy this moment. It's just us. The sun has gone down, and nobody else knows where we are. " he said placing his on my waist. We walked out deeper so the water was up to my neck.

"Now then, isn't this nice?" He said looking off into the distance to subtle movements in the water.

"Yeah. It's really nice. " I said moving closer to him.

"And the best part about this beach is there's a net that keeps out fish and stuff like that. That way we won't be disturbed. " he said. I didn't even think about that until now, but if there's a net then we're safe.

"I wasn't even thinking about that until now, you dork. " I said wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Well now you know. " he said leaning his forehead against mine.

"I know this isn't the time, but what's the craziest thing you and Isaac ever did? Like romantically?" He said. I moved my forehead away to look into his eyes.

"Luke, we didn't do anything. I only dated him for like a month. Nothing happened. I'm still a virgin. " I said feeling his grip around my waist tighten.

"Oh. " he said trying to keep a straight face .

"I see you smirking. " I said smiling up at him.

"I'm smirking? No I'm not. " he said smiling.

"What is it? Why are smiling?" I asked.

"Oh no reason in particular. Just that you're still a virgin. " he said. Although it was dark I could still feel my face grow red hot.

"Shut up. Are you?" I said beaming in his eyes.

"No. " he said putting his forehead against mine.

"Then why do you care so much?" I said putting my face closer to his.

"Because. I wanna be the one to change that eventually. " he said smiling.

"Eventually?" I laughed.

"Luke, have you ever been skinny dipping? Because we're about to." I said unclasping my bra.

"Where've you two been?" Michael asked as Lauren sat with her head on his lap.

"Swimming. " I answered, a blush on my face.

"Oh. Oh. " Michael said as Lauren sat up.

"Wait. You're still a virgin, right?" Lauren said looking alarmed.

"Yes. Im still a virgin. Geez why do you care? You and Michael clearly aren't. " I said walking upstairs.

"Michael, I know what comes next. Can I sleep in your room?" I heard Lauren say.

"Of course. " he answered bluntly.

I walked down the hallway and into my room Luke followed. I walked over to my bathroom and entered, closing the door in Luke's face.

"Nice try. Why don't you shower in your room?" I said behind the door.

"Why don't we save water and shower together?" He retorted.

"How about no. " I said sitting the water.

"Fine. I'll be back. " he said. I heard the room door open and close, then I heard the water running next door. I relaxed and placed my clothes into the hamper before jumping in the shower. I washed my hair and body, making sure to cleanse myself of all the sand and salty sea water.

After about 15 minutes I got out and dried myself off, blow drying my hair before I got changed. I through on my VS PINK tank top that said You Had Me At Pizza and some black shorts. I walked out and saw Luke camped out on my bed in boxers.

"Do I need to call Liz?" I said climbing in next to him.

"Oh god not you too. " he said laughing.

"I hope you know it's not happening tonight. We already went skinny dipping. " I said turning to face him

"I know but I still wanna cuddle with my girlfriend. " he said pulling me close to him.

"Hold on, I need to tell Lauren something. " I said climbing out of bed and downstairs.

"Wow. Nice tank top. " Michael said.

"Shut up. Where's Lauren?" I asked him laughing slightly.

"She just went to get some water. " he said pointing behind me to the kitchen. I walked over to her.

"I just wanted to let you know our room is safe. Nothing happened. Me and Luke are just laying down, you and Michael can still stay in there you know. " I said to her.

"Okay, we will." She said walking back into the living room.

"Michael come on, we're going to bed. I'm tired. " Lauren said. Michael got up and followed Lauren and I back to the room.

"Okay, now we can cuddle. " I said climbing back in with Luke.

"Finally. " he said. I snuggled into him and he rested his chin on my head. Michael and Lauren doing the same.

"This really has been the best day. " Luke said kissing my forehead.

"Yeah, it has. " I responded.

"I love you," he said to me.
"You don't have to say it back, I just wanted you to know I love you. " he added.

"Luke?" I said.
"Yeah?"
"I love you too. "
