Sydney's POV:

You'd think you'd be happy waking up to the guy of your dreams' arm wrapped around your waist, the sun peaking barely through the window, and birds chirping. I on the other hand wanted to cry my eyes out. I leave today. This summer has gone by so fast it's not even funny. It feels as though just yesterday I complained on how much I really didn't wanna come here.

Slowly I got out of bed making sure I didn't wake Luke. I made a nice breakfast and took a shower. I got dressed in Luke's favorite outfit of mine. It's a white short sleeved Hemmings 96 jersey and black jeans with white vans. I kept my hair down and makeup natural.

I walked back into Luke's room and saw Luke on his phone.

"Hey you. " he said looking up from his phone. I couldn't help but smile, I instantly went into his arms.

"I love you so much, I don't wanna leave. I wish I could just stay here with you forever. " I said into his shoulder.

"I know. I wish it were that way too." He said rubbing my back. It's 11 and my mom comes at 2. We really don't have a lot of time.

"I like your shirt. " he said swiftly in my ear. I looked up from his shoulder and kissed him.

"You're such a dork, you know that?" I laughed.

"Come on! My mom comes in two hours, you need to get dressed. " I said pulling him up and out of bed.

"You go shower, and I'll pick something out. " I said shooing him away. He got in the shower and I picked out a black shirt and some black jeans. Pretty simple but black does wonders for his eyes. I left it sitting out on his bed while I lugged my suitcase down stairs.

Quickly I ran back upstairs. Luke had gotten dressed and looked really cute just standing there looking at himself in the mirror.

"We need to take a picture." I said walking over to him.

"Okay. " he said. I pulled out my phone and positioned it, quickly I pushed the button and took the picture. It actually turned out really really cute. I was kissing Luke's cheek while he just smiled.

"Now I'll have this memory forever. " I smiled at him.

"You're so beautiful. " he blurted out out of no where.

"You're really handsome. " I said kissing his cheek once more and taking his hand in mine.

"Come on, let's go for a walk." I said pulling him down the stairs with me.

We walked out the back door, past the pool and to the grass where I sat down in the same spot I had sat a couple months before.

"I remember the time I think I started liking you. It's must've been the first or second day here and I sat out here alone watching Happy Feet." I said looking out into the distance.

"Wasn't that the day we threw that party and everybody got seriously wasted?" He said smiling.

"Actually yes. It was. " I stood up and walked toward the lake.

"Where me and Calum started our date. " I huffed walking past the dock and into the forest.

"The trail you had finally showed me." I smiled looking back at him. We continued walking till I reached the tree house.

"Where you saved my virginity." I laughed pointing just up the ladder.

"I'm so glad I did too. " he said smiling. I took his hand in mine and began walking toward the beach.

"And our final destination. The beach. Where we went skinny dipping. Good times, to think I just came to the beach to get away from everyone, I didn't think you'd come. " I could feel the vibration in my right pocket signaling my mom was just out front. I know what had to be done. I didn't wanna do it but I had to.

"I love you, Luke. " I smiled looking up into his blue eyes.

"I love you too, Sydney. " he smiled. I planted a slow kiss on his lips resting my hands on his cheeks.

"I'm sorry. " I said breaking the kiss.

"Luke, this is it. You're going on tour and I'm gonna be applying to colleges are pretty soon." I said as I saw the change of color in his eyes. They were once the color of the sky but quickly changed to a deep dark blue.

"Then come on tour with us. " he pleaded.

"You and I both know I wouldn't do that. Listen, you were mine for the summer but that's all it was. A summer fling. I'm sure someday we'll run into each other again but for now this is goodbye. " I said as I saw tears gently roll down his face.

I kissed once more and ran. I could feel tears in my eyes. I ran into the house and grabbed my bags but he caught up to me, stopping me on the porch.

"Wait!" He exclaimed grabbing my wrist. I turned around and finally faced him.

"I just need one more kiss then you can leave. " he said pulling me closer. I reached up and kissed him slowly not wanting to break apart, but I knew if I don't then I'd never break up with him and I really need to.

"This isn't forever, I'll see you soon, okay? I love you Luke. Don't forget that. " I turned back around and got into my moms car feeling the tears roll down my face quietly as I left Luke on the porch.

"Who was that?" My mom asked as she pulled into the main road.

"No one." I shrugged. The truth is, Luke is everyone to me. I love him so much but I don't wanna hold him back. Besides I'll probably never see him again so this'll be good for him. Right?

"Didn't look like he was nobody. " she said looking at me.

"Well he is. Can we just not talk about this?" I said dropping the conversation completely.

    "Okay. " she said quietly.

After an hour we reached home. I pulled my luggage out of the trunk and entered the house. I sat my suitcase on my bed and began unpacking. Shirt by shirt till I found it. Luke's black shirt he wore to the concert. He packed it for me. I threw it on and some soft sweatpants before crawling into bed and falling asleep. Dreaming about my summer.
