One of my favourite things to do is take a nice, brisk night walk. Feel the cool evening air on my skin. Usually, I like to listen ton the quiet and peaceful sounds of the night but tonight I'm blasting (f/s)(favourite song) in my ears. Of course, if I didn't think that I was safe I wouldn't do that but I live in Arcadia. This place is as safe as a small town can be. I mean don't get me wrong we have a few odd... guests I see in the shadows every once and a while but otherwise I feel perfectly safe. I walk down the empty and streetlight lit street, mouthing the words to my song and bopping along to it. I'm having a blast in my own little world.
Suddenly I see a small flower grow in a crack inthe sidewalk ahead of me.

I stop and stare at it confused. I mean it literally popped up out of no where. I slowly walk closer to it and kneel down in front of it. It looks to be a lily. Honestly it looks really pretty. I reach my hand out and gently brush my fingertips against the petals. I cup the flower in my hands and lower my face to smell it. It smells... unlike anything I have ever smelled before. It's floral but there's a sweetness to it. I close my eyes as I savour the sweet scent. I open my eyes back and look back down to the flower. It seems to have shifted... the stems in the middle change to resemble ... eyes?
Without warning, the lily snap at me like a snake going to bite its prey. I give out a "AGH" as I jump back and fall onto by butt. Hear laughter come from the bush. I recognize that laugh! I smile and stand up to dust myself off
"Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny. You can come out now" Skrael practically falls out of the bushes gripping his stomach and cackling like a mad man. Following him is little Nari who is giggling but tries to hide it. Then Bellroc comes out stone faced as always. "Yeah, yeah. Sooo hilarious." I say chuckling a little.
"You should have seen your face." Skrael regains some of his composure but still is laughing.
"You did look quite funny." Nari comments as her giggle dies but her smile stays.
"Yes." Bellroc states.
"What are you guys doing out anyway. You could be seen."
"We wanted to come see you." Nari says climbing up my leg and sitting on my shoulder. She gently pats my head.
"Yes. These two can be obnoxious so a change in company can be... nice every once in a while." Bellroc says
"Hey!" Skrael snaps all offended. Nari doesn't seem all that upset by it.
"Aw. The great Keeper of the Flame enjoys spending time with little old me." I say dramatically. Bellroc rolls their eyes in their armor. "Well since y'all are here do you wanna come over and watch a movie. My family is away this week end so no one will be home."
"Yesss!" Nari cheers
"I want to pick the film this time." The ice demi-god demands.
"Fine but we are not watching frozen again." I say.
With Nari on my shoulders and Bellroc and Skrael by my sides we walk to my home.
