Double Trouble- Re-written.

Clash on Christmas Eve

~ I'm surprised at myself for getting this chapter done in less than a week after posting the last chapter.

~ This is the first time I included a pic with a new chapter. The pic is an evil ranger form that shows up later in the chapter :) (and will show up again in later chapters) 

~ I decided to make this a Christmas/winter themed chapter and I hope that you like reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Hydie walked into her brother's ship wearing black winter boots and a dark purple winter hat. She opened up her black jacket to reveal her purple shirt as she looked around for her brother.
"Heckyl, where are you hiding?" Hydie asked out loud in a sing-song voice. "I brought you cinnamon..."
"Cinnamon?" Hydie could hear her brother's voice in the distance and followed it. "Did you really bring cinnamon?" He asked once they were in each other's sights.
"Oh, please..." Hydie gave him a dismissive wave. "Why would I actually bring it when you know I can't stand the stuff?" Heckyl frowned at his sister as she walked into the room he was in.

Hydie took off her hat and shook her head to loosen her hair. She put her hat in one of her jacket pockets before she brushed some hair from her face.
"Do you know why it's snowing out there?" Hydie asked even though she knew her brother had something to do with it.
"Why?" Heckyl asked and pretended to be innocent with his sister. Hydie gave him a look to silently say she already knew he had something to do with it. "Okay fine...I may have sent out a monster to create a snowstorm to distract the rangers."
"You call that a snowstorm?" Hydie looked at him in disbelief. "That out there..." Hydie pointed towards a window that was in the room "...is not close to a snowstorm that would distract the rangers." Heckyl looked at the snow falling outside and then to Hydie.
"You have an idea don't you?" He asked when he could realize his sister had a plan.
"Just find a way to get an actual storm going and I'll take care of the rest." Hydie smirked as she looked at her brother. "Let's give the rangers a Christmas they won't forget."

Inside the ranger's base, Kendal was looking at the holographic display in the middle of the room. She was worried about the snow because of how suddenly it appeared.

Chase, Tyler and Koda were sitting at a table wrapping last minute Christmas gifts. Chase smiled, proud of the gift he picked out for Hydie. He finished wrapping it and placed a black bow on top.
"All done." Chase said as he looked at what he got for Hydie. Chase looked at his friends. Tyler was just finishing wrapping a gift. Chase looked to Koda to see he had a bunch of tape on him and a mess of wrapping paper. Koda looked at Chase and saw the look on his face.
"I do it wrong?" Koda asked about wrapping presents.
"Just a little bit." Chase said and stood up. "Let me help you." He said before he got closer to Koda and helped him clean up.

After a few minutes, the doors to the base opened. Shelby walked in with Ivan and Riley.
"It's really cold out there." Shelby said to the others who were comfortable in the base.
"That snowstorm got stronger." Riley said when the others looked at them. "Almost like it came out of nowhere."
"It's not natural." Ivan said as he brushed snow off of himself.
"That's because it's not." Kendall said from the middle of the room. "Amber Beach rarely sees snow, let alone this much." She said to everyone.
"Do you think it's Snide?" Tyler asked, more concerned about the snow than the present he finished wrapping.
"Or Scorn?" Shelby asked as they all started to gather near Kendal.
"I don't know." Kendall said before an alert went off. "There's alien bio-signs at the park." She looked at the rangers. "Be careful."
"Out in the cold again." Shelby complained in a mutter to herself as they left the base.

When the rangers got to the park they saw a tall but thin monster surrounded by vivix. The vivix seemed to be distracted by all the snow and were making snowmen and snow angels.
"Stop playing in the snow." The monster complained to the vivix and groaned. "Peabrains." The monster muttered before she saw the rangers in their suits. "Hello rangers, about time you showed up."
"Who are you?" Tyler asked as he stepped in front of his friends.
"The name's Snowstorm." Snowstorm said to the rangers.
"Let me guess, you created the snowstorm?" Shelby asked.
"Obviously." Snowstorm said to the rangers and rolled her eyes. "Isn't all this snow beautiful?" She twirled in the snow with her arms out. Snow gently sprayed from Snowstorm's hands and covered some of the vivix that were playing. The rangers watched as Snowstorm easily created more snow. "Now Amber Beach looks like a winter wonderland."
"If you keep this up, then the people of Amber Beach will freeze." Riley said to Snowstorm.
"Then let them freeze." Snowstorm said. "A small price to pay for my winter wonderland." She chuckled.
"We'll stop you." Tyler said.
"Vivix, stop playing." Snowstorm said. "It's finally time to fight." The vivix turned towards the rangers and started to throw snowballs at them. "Not with snowballs." Snowstorm groaned. "With fists." She clarified before she went after the rangers.
