~ Hey everyone! Sorry about the long wait between chapters. I lost motivation for my fanfics (and distracted by streaming on Twitch) but this story is finally updated!
~ It continues off the last chapter and had a few scenes that changed while I wrote it. I'm very happy with how it turned out (It's also the current longest chapter for this story)

Heckyl walked to the solitary cell he once occupied. He could hear the person inside, like they were talking to themselves. He opened the small door and let light inside the cell. Heckyl saw her, sitting on the ground in the corner. He was able to see that her hair was a mess.
'She doesn't look like herself' Heckyl thought. There was a small part of him that felt bad, but it was overshadowed by the evil inside him. Heckyl kept his eyes on her when he finally looked towards him.
"Why would you do this to your own sister?" Hydie asked as she stood up. She wasn't sure if Heckyl was a hallucination or if he was really there. "Why?" Heckyl looked at her for a moment, as if he was thinking.
"You know what becomes of traitors Hydie." Heckyl kept his tone neutral. "Be lucky you're in the cell. Snide wanted to destroy you." He paused. "You're going to know what it's like for your sibling to leave you in solitary." He added before he slowly closed the small door and left his sister in darkness.
Hydie pounded on the door from the inside.
"Heckyl!" She yelled but jumped when she thought she heard a noise that came in the cell. Hydie turned and took a deep breath. Hydie wasn't one to scare easily, but she was starting to unravel from what Mindrill did to her. She was confused when she thought she saw Heckyl "How did...."
"You deserve this for leaving me here." He said before he disappeared. 'And for turning against family' Heckyl's voice went through Hydie's mind.
"I'm seeing things." Hydie muttered to herself and ran her hand through her hair. "I need to get out of here..." Hydie pulled out her phone. She tried to call Chase before, but it said there was no signal. Heckyl had Wrench block cell service in the area of the ship where they had Hydie. Hydie's phone was low on battery so she tried not to use it as a light source. 'I'm not scared of the dark' Hydie told herself as she leaned against the wall and tried to come up with a plan to escape.
Hydie tried to focus and reach for her connection to Scorn. She could feel Scorn, but she couldn't transform like she normally could. Hydie tried to find the compact that let her communicate with Scorn, but couldn't feel it on her.
'I lost it....how could I lose it?' Hydie asked herself and worried. She knew Scorn was still within her, but couldn't transform into Scorn.

All of the rangers were at the base trying to locate Hydie. They had Hydie's compact and her skateboard sitting on a table next to each other. The rangers all stood around computers or each other as they tried to figure out a way to locate Hydie. Hydie's compact started the chime, but the rangers didn't notice.
"Guys, do you hear that?" Riley asked after a few minutes, which got everyone's attention. They all stopped what they were doing and took a look around the base from their spots.
"Do you think...." Shelby started to ask when she looked towards Hydie's things. Chase started to walk to them with Shelby, Riley and Tyler followed behind him. Chase's eyes went to Hydie's compact before he slowly reached for it.
The compact opened up before Chase could touch it. The top of the compact had a foggy background to it.
"That's weird." Shelby said before she noticed a faint outline of Scorn appear in the compact.
"Hydie....trouble.....Fury.....'s ship." Scorn's words came out almost like a bad tv signal. What she wanted to say didn't come out clear enough for the rangers to figure out what she was trying to say. The outline of Scorn temporarily flashed to an outline of Hydie before returning to Scorn's outline. Scorn tried to say more but her outline faded but the foggy background remained.
"Do....you think the compact is how Scorn and Hydie can communicate?" Shelby asked as Chase slowly picked it up.
"...Can we use her compact to find her location somehow?" Chase asked as he turned to face Kendall.
Kendall looked up from the computer she was at. Her eyes looked from Chase to Hydie's compact as he carried it closer.
"...if there is some sort of connection between Hydie and her compact..." Kendall started to say as Chase set the compact on the desk in front of Kendall. "...I could try and find a path to Hydie using that connection." Kendall looked to Chase. "I don't know if it will work..."
"We have to try something." Chase said because he was worried about Hydie. Riley gave a comforting pat on Chase's shoulder.
"We'll find her." Riley said because he could tell how much Chase cared about Hydie.
